Abstract

A liquid-cooled cylinder head for a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine has, for each combustion chamber (2), a cooling liquid chamber (3) which is penetrated by a spark plug head (4). Der in Fig. 1 dargestellte Zylinderkopf 1 für eine Mehrzylinder- Brennkraftmaschine ist in üblicher Weise für jeden Zylinder mit einem Brennraum 2 versehen, dessen Wand durch Wasser ge­ kühlt ist, das eine Kühlwasserkammer 3 durchströmt. Die Kammer 3 ist von einem Dom 4 durchsetzt, durch welchen sich ein Zündkerzenschacht 5 erstreckt. Jede Kühlwasserkammer 3 erhält das Kühlwasser durch Kanäle 6 aus dem nicht gezeigten Zylinderblock und ist durch einen oder mehrere Steigleitungen 7 mit einem Abfluß-Sammelkanal 8 in Verbindung, der sich längs des Zylinderkopfes 1 erstreckt. Die Zündkerzenschächte 5 schneiden den Sammelkanal 8 an und sind gegenüber diesem jeweils durch eine eingepreßte Hülse 9 abgedichtet. Durch den ein­ teiligen Gießkern für den Sammelkanal 8 und alle Zündkerzen­ schächte 5 ergibt sich eine äußerst rationelle Fertigung. Außerdem wird eine sehr stabile Lagerung der die Zündkerzen­ schächte 5 erzeugenden Gießkernabschnitte 13 erreicht. Schließlich findet eine optimale Entgasung des Gießkernabschnit­ tes 12 beim Gießvorgang statt, da die entstehenden Gase durch die Gießkernabschnitte 13 hindurch nach oben entweichen kön­ nen, so daß die Entstehung von Lunkern wirksam verhindert ist.Such a casting core is shown for a 4-cylinder internal combustion engine in Fig. 2. Die Trennung zwischen dem Sammelkanal und jedem Zündkerzenschacht erfolgt wiederum durch eine eingepaßte Hülse. Dieser Gießkern ist besonders stabil.
