Description
Verfahren zur Entfernung von Kohlenoxysulfid aus Gasen. Es wurde gefunden, daß man Kohlenoxysulfid auch in Spuren leicht aus Gasen entfernen kann, wenn man diese mit Natron-oder Kalikalk bei gewöhnlicher oder schwach erhrihter Temperatur behandelt. Es findet dabei trotz .der niederen Temperatur eine Zersetzung der Verbindung zu Kohlensäure und Schwefelwasserstoff unter chemischer. Bindung statt, so daß das. Gaspraktisch frei von Kohlenoxysulfid wird.Process for removing carbon oxysulphide from gases. It was found, that one can easily remove carbon oxysulphide from gases, even in traces, if one these with soda or caustic lime at normal or slightly elevated temperature treated. In spite of the low temperature, the compound decomposes to carbonic acid and hydrogen sulfide under chemical. Bond instead, so that. Gas becomes practically free of carbon oxysulphide.
Das Verfahren ist von größter Bedeutung für katalytische Gasreaktionen, bei denen Kohlenoxysulfid störend wirkt, z. B. für die Methanbildung aus Kohlenoxyd und Wasserstoff. , Man braucht hier nur das. in Reaktion. zu bringende kohlenoxysulfidhaltige, aber im übrigen reine Gasgemisch durch Türme, die mit Natronkalk gefüllt sind, hindurchzuleiten.
