Abstract
1. A method of putting in place a sealing covering, more particularly for roofs, terraces or constructional works such as bridges, comprising at least two layers superimposed on a surface of a support (S) to be protected, the first layers (1) of the covering, close to the surface to be protected, being formed by at least one bituminous sheet (2) comprising on its surface oriented towards the support, or lower surface, a screen (8) formed with openings (10) and made from a material which cannot be degraded by heat up to a temperature of about 200 degrees C but can be so degraded by the application of a flame, characterized in that the surface of the support to be protected is covered with at least one of the bituminous sheets (2) to form the lower layer of the covering in such a way that the screen (8) of the sheet is opposite the surface to be protected, and a second layer (3) is so glued hot to the lower layer that the heat generated during the putting in place of the second layer procudes glueing to the surface of the sheet (2) to be protected by the adhesion to the support of the bituminous composition of the sheet (2) via at least some of the openings (10) with which the screen (8) is formed.
