R₁, R₂, R₃, R₄ und R₅die bei Formel (I) angegebene Bedeutung haben und R₆für Fluor, Chlor oder eine NH₂-Gruppe steht,R₁, R₂, R₃, R₄ and R₅ those given in formula (I) Have meaning and R₆ represents fluorine, chlorine or an NH₂ group,
indem man diese im Falle R₆ = Fluor oder Chlor mit Hydrazin und im Falle R₆ = NH₂-Gruppe mit Natriumnitrit und einem Reduktionsmittel umsetzt.by using these in the case of R₆ = fluorine or chlorine Hydrazine and in the case R₆ = NH₂ group with sodium nitrite and implement a reducing agent.
Compounds of formula (II) are, for example, by Chlorination or nitration and reduction of from DE OS 34 39 364 or EP-OS 1 15 985 known compounds or accessible in an analogous manner.
The reaction according to the invention with hydrazine is in generally carried out in the presence of a solvent. Suitable solvents are e.g. B. alcohols, ethers, Ether alcohols, tertiary amines and sulfones. In particular suitable are ethanol, dioxane, glycol monomethyl ether, Triethylamine, pyridine, picoline and tetramethylene sulfone.
Suitable temperatures for this reaction are, for example those in the range from 0 to 120 ° C, in particular when using less reactive compounds Formula (II) preferably temperatures in the range of 50 up to 120 ° C. The application of pressure is generally not required unless one want to carry out the reaction in a solvent, that has a boiling point at normal pressure that is below the desired reaction temperature.
In general, it is advantageous if during the reaction only slight excesses of hydrazine are present. Man therefore preferably places the compound of formula (II), optionally together with solvent, before and adds then hydrazine. It is also generally advantageous the use of larger excesses of hydrazine, e.g. B. of more than 1.2 moles of hydrazine per mole of the compound To avoid formula (II).
If a compound of formula (II) with R₅ = chlorine is used it’s very beneficial to add a base unless a base is already used as the solvent, e.g. B. pyridine is used. Suitable bases are, for example tertiary amines such as triethylamine, pyridine and Picolin, as well as carbonates, hydrogen carbonates and acetates of alkali metals, such as potassium acetate, sodium acetate, potassium carbonate, Sodium bicarbonate and sodium carbonate. If appropriate, hydrazine can also serve as this base.
The hydrazine can be, for example, in the form of hydrazine hydrate be used, but also in anhydrous form or hydrazine containing up to 80% by weight of water.
The reaction is generally complete after 1 to 20 hours. The reaction mixture can then be used, for example work up by, if necessary after distilling off at least half, preferably at least 80% by weight of the solvent present (which is reused the reaction mixture in cold water stir in, the crystalline product of the formula (I) separates, if necessary, washed with a little water and dries. If desired, the product can also be used recrystallize, e.g. B. from cyclohexane or toluene.
The reaction according to the invention with sodium nitrite and Reducing agents can be carried out, for example, that you first with the compound of formula (II) R₆ = NH₂ in the presence of hydrochloric acid at temperatures between -5 and + 15 ° C diazotized with sodium nitrite, then filtered, the filtrate is added to an ammonium sulfite solution, which you keep neutral with caustic soda, then acidified and until the end of gas evolution at the boil holds at reflux and then, if necessary, a cleaning with z. B. activated carbon, by cooling the thus prepared Compound of formula (I) in the form of its sulfite can crystallize out and filtered.
The phenylhydrazines of the formula (I) according to the invention can be used as intermediates for the production of heterocyclic compounds with herbicides and / or insecticidal properties can be used.
