Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an arrangement for improving the Aircraft maneuverability according to the generic term of claim 1.
The maneuverability of jet powered aircraft, This means aircraft and aircraft-like missiles, depends on many factors, for example aerodynami concept (delta, duck etc.), of the total mass and the Mass distribution (moments of inertia, center of gravity) from Number and arrangement of the engines, from stationary and insta tional engine behavior.
In the present case, it is only a question of flow technology African tools to influence maneuverability and specifically with regard to military high-performance flight testify with preferably an engine. This engine is said to be a turbo air jet engine, by far the largest part of the air flow flows through the thrust nozzle; Per pellet turbines or fan engines are less popular here chen. The thrusters of such military engines are usually adjustable in cross section, to adapt to un Different speed ranges (subsonic, sound, Supersonic) and operating modes (with, without afterburner). Consequently stand for aerodynamic, or more precisely for gas dynamics measures available to two media, namely one the surrounding air flowing to the moving aircraft, on the other ren the high-energy jet of the engine. Used to one largely limits itself to the incoming air to accelerate with oars and flaps to decelerate or distract. With increasing demands on maneuverability Ability to do this more and more, including the jet divert or redirect for tax and delay purposes. After Part of this is the high gas temperature, which is an advantage high energy density, which relatively small and light currents mungsleitkörper enables.
From US-PS 36 47 141 an arrangement for improving maneuverability is known, which presupposes that the engine is enclosed at a radial distance from a largely rotationally symmetrical jacket. Flows between the outside of the engine and the inside of the casing - e.g. B. accelerated by a fan - cooling air, which is primarily mixed with the nozzle jet to reduce noise. The jacket axially projects beyond the end of the nozzle and in this area preferably has three openings with movable flaps directed obliquely backwards to the engine axis. According to the embodiment according to FIGS. 5 to 7, each flap can be pivoted both about a transverse axis and, as a whole, approximately radially towards and away from the engine axis. For this purpose, each flap is pivotally hung on the free end of a pair of links, and at least two drive units are provided per flap, one of which moves the pair of links, the other the flap itself. The arrangement enables on the one hand the admixture of outside air according to the ejector principle, and on the other hand it is possible to deflect or deflect the jet up to the reversal of thrust. All handlebars and drive units are suspended on the man tel and thus mechanically separated from the engine. The enveloping of the engine with an additional flow jacket is basically only useful with free, for example, suspended under wing engines and has the disadvantage of a larger cell weight and a larger, resistance-increasing cell cross-section, which can also be more easily detected by Ra dar. In the case of military missiles and high-performance aircraft with fuselage-integrated engines, the principle described does not make sense due to its aerodynamic, weight-related and camouflage-specific (radar detection) disadvantages.
B. in der US-PS 42 52 286 oder in der US-PS 39 07 224.It is also known to move the thrust nozzle of engines to make one or more axes pivotable, e.g. B. with gimbal or spherical suspension. In connection with the requirement of changing the nozzle cross section like solutions to extremely complicated, fragile and expensive ren nozzle shapes, which the complexity, the development time he, hence the price and ease of maintenance of a Influence engine negatively. It is similar with engine-proof thrust reversers. That's why there are already proposed solutions for thrust reversers for fuselage or cell-side arrangement, e.g. B. in US-PS 42 52 286 or in US-PS 39 07 224.
Compared to these designs according to the prior art is the object of the present invention, a Provide an order to improve maneuverability, which in addition to the beam deflection and thrust measures reversal allows the air braking, the in overrun Cell flow around the nozzle area is improved. In doing so the arrangement as simple and easy, mechanically from Engine independent and can be retrofitted, but none Change in the fuselage or cell cross section required is.
This task is characterized in the main claim 1 characteristics solved.
The solution provides for at least three movable flaps, wel che can be operated individually or together and in the drawer driven, i.e. at rest or with beam deflection, lie tangentially on the beam contour. The flaps point in operation more or less large distances in circumferential direction open, so do not touch the jet on its gan zen scope. These distances result from the geometrical Ratios for reverse thrust and with the smallest jet through knife (without afterburning).
However, these distances have no significant impact on the targeted beam deflection around the engine axis. As a result of the axial distance of the flaps from the outlet opening of the nozzle and due to their tangential position to the jet contour, an ejector effect occurs which accelerates the air flow near the cells in the nozzle area and thereby reduces the air resistance of the aircraft. The flaps touch the jet contour even with a straight jet jet (rest position) and are constantly tracked so that the jet deflection starts without delay if necessary (linear characteristic). The tangential flap position is only given when the thrust is reversed and when the air is braked, then the flaps are at an acute angle to across in the jet or in the free air flow. The suspension of each flap on a four-bar linkage as well as the actuation with two separate drive units - apart from the necessary mobility - have the consequence that during a change in the radial distance flap pe / engine axis with a straight jet jet the correct flap angle is always given automatically without the drive unit connected to the flap must be actuated. Even the large angular movements during reverse thrust and air braking are possible with relatively small translational movements of both drive units. The arrangement can be retrofitted, since it is not tied to a specific engine or to an aircraft type. The retrofitting of a jet aircraft is possible almost without restrictions, space problems can occur in the case of more jet aircraft with engines that are very close to one another, so that one flap may have to be omitted in each case.
The subclaims 2 and 3 contain preferred embodiments gene of the arrangement according to claim 1.
By arranging a slat in front of each flap the ejector effect on the cell flow is increased even more the, in addition, the braking effect is due to the increase in area air braking stronger.
The drive units are preferably straight ones linear movement for use, for example hydrau lik, pneumatic cylinders or ball screws.

The essential elements of the arrangement 1 can be seen most clearly in FIG. 1. An important difference compared to the prior art is the attachment of the arrangement 1 to the cell 2 of the aircraft, for which the fuselage tail is generally suitable. Thus, the adjustable cross-section thrust nozzle 3 of the engine is mechanically completely separated from the order 1 . The actual functional elements of the arrangement 1 are the fluidically effective flaps 8 , of which at least three are arranged around the nozzle jet 5 at an axial distance behind the outlet opening 4 of the thrust nozzle 3 . Apart from the operating cases reverse thrust and air braking, the flaps 8 are always adjusted with respect to their Anstellwin angle and their radial distance from the engine axis V so that the flap inner sides 9 are tangent to the jet contour 6 . To adapt to the beam contour 6 , the flaps 8 are curved in the circumferential direction, which cannot be seen from FIG. 1. The flaps are also left in the rest position, ie with a straight jet 5 , on the jet contour 6 in order to keep the reaction time as short as possible with required beam deflection, which results in an approximately linear deflection behavior.
Since the jet diameter and the axial cone angle of the jet contour 6 change as a function of the airspeed and the operating mode (with / without afterburner), constant adjustment of the flaps 8 is also necessary in the rest position. For this purpose, the flap suspension is designed as a four-joint W , X , Y , Z with two cell-side joint axes W , X and two flap-side joint axes Y , Z. The outer handlebar plane X - Z is formed by a first drive unit 11 , which does not have to be actuated with a straight jet 5 and thus acts as a handlebar with a constant length (from position X - Z ). The inner, closer to the engine axis V arranged hinge axes W , Y , connects the handlebar unit 13 , which must be imagined as a rigid and torsionally rigid, spatial structure. The handlebar unit 13 can be pivoted with the second drive unit 12 about the cell-side articulation SE W. The hinge axes W , X , Y , Z are arranged to one another in such a way that when the handlebar unit 13 is pivoted, the correct angle of attack of the flap 8 always results automatically. The distance X - Z is smaller than the distance W - Y , because the cone angle of the beam contour 6 increases with increasing beam diameter, and thus the angle of attack must also be larger. Due to the ejector effect of the nozzle jet 5 in connection with the flaps 8 which are in tan potential, the air flow 7 close to the cell is accelerated and admixed to the nozzle jet 5 . This results in a reduction in the air resistance of the cell 2 and a reduction in the jet temperature in the region of the flaps 8 . In the illustrated case, the ejector effect is further enhanced, specifically by slats 10 connected to the handlebar units 13 , which improve the air flow. Specially in the case of air braking, these slats 10 contribute to increasing the braking area.
Figs. 2 and 3 show, highly schematically, how the nozzle can be radiative cavities Lich deflected by different adjustment of the flaps 8.
Each with an arrow in Fig. 2 is a vertical deflection upwards, in Fig. 3 a horizontal and vertical From deflection ( 45 ° to the top right) indicated. The flap kinematics according to the invention can of course also be used to achieve any other deflection directions around the engine axis V. The arrangement of four flaps shown should also be a cheap compromise in terms of effort and effect.
FIGS. 4 and 5 indicate the extreme flap positions at ge Radem jet 5, that is, the limit values of the rest position, again. Fig. 4 shows the minimum jet diameter when operating without afterburner (dry), Fig. 5 shows the maximum jet diameter when afterburner operation (reheat). In this case, the flaps 8 can be adjusted, for example, as a function of the instantaneous diameter of the thrust nozzle 3 .
Fig. 6 shows the case of acute-angled, directed beam deflection in overrun without afterburner (dry). It can be seen that the flaps 8 also lie tangentially on the beam contour 6 in this case, but that in comparison to FIG. 4 the drive unit 11 of the upper flap 8 is extended to a greater length, while the drive unit 11 of the lower flap was shortened. With beam deflection, it is therefore necessary to actuate at least two of the drive units 11 differently. the conditions for beam deflection in afterburner operation are not shown because they do not differ in principle.
In the operating modes according to FIGS. 7 and 8, the principle of the tangential flap guidance deviates. In FIG. 7, arrangement 1 works as a thrust reverser. The flaps 8 largely block the cross section of the nozzle jet 5 and deflect it mostly around the thrust nozzle 3 to the front, so that there is an opposite force to the flight direction on the cell le 2 . This measure is primarily used to improve maneuverability on the ground, but also an application in flight should not be excluded. The operating mode of the arrangement 1 shown in FIG. 8 is primarily intended for braking operations in flight. The flaps 8 and the slats 10 are pivoted outwards into the free air flow around the cell 2 in order to offer as large a resistance surface as possible transversely to the flight direction and thus act as an air brake. At the same time, the engine thrust should be reduced to a minimum so as not to unnecessarily reduce the braking force.
The arrangement 1 can of course also be operated without slats 10 , but these are advantageous especially for the ejector effect of the nozzle jet on the air flow 7 near the cell and when operating as an air brake for enlarging the area.
