Abstract

Organic coating material is applied to a strip by using a screen printing process, in a continuous manner. The strip moves past the screen printer at a speed between 20 and 500 metres per minute. Pref. the coating material is a thermosetting resin. A smooth applicator roll transfers the coating material from a screen printing cylinder onto the strip. The rate of application of the coating material corresponds to a dry coating weight of between 1 and 15 g/sq.m.
