Description
The invention relates to a method according to the preamble of Claim 1. It also relates to a device according to Preamble of claim 9.
Das Verfahren ist durch die DE 31 45 828 A1 bekannt.The method is known from DE 31 45 828 A1.
Two-stage processes for the production of Polyethylene threads from melts. With these procedures conventionally spun (up to approx. 1000 m / min) and wound up. This is followed by a stretching process in order to to improve the mechanical properties of the threads. The The thread is introduced into the drawing zone with a Speed that can be up to 120 m / min and thus is much lower than the spinning speed.
In the method known from DE 31 45 828 A1 threads melt-spun from a thermoplastic resin subjected to a multi-stage stretching process. Doing so the first stretch in water at 100 ° C or less than Tapered stretches performed at the necking deformations occur.
At least 85% of the total drawing takes place in the first drawing stage. The remaining stretch is distributed to further stages and is done dry between heated Rollers whose temperatures are up to 140 ° C and thus are in the range of the melting temperature of the thread material. The required control and mechanical engineering effort and the space requirement are considerable.
The invention has for its object one over known improved process for the production of high strength To provide polyethylene threads that are larger Protection from the threads subjected to stretching one significantly reduced structural and technical engineering effort requires and also significant in the conduct of the procedure simplified and therefore less prone to failure. The Task is in a generic method by Characteristic of claim 1 solved.
To achieve the desired strength and module values the water bath has a temperature between 60 ° C and 100 ° C is selected. Higher stretching and thus higher values in terms of strength and modulus of elasticity can be achieved if the deflecting rods at the beginning of the Water bath, at the thread inlet, are arranged.
The HDPE threads are taken from the heated water bath subtracted from a 13 to 20 times higher speed. When you exit the water bath, you will see a Simple aviv. The godets of the extractor have a temperature of 100 to 120 ° C. This can the shrinkage stopped and the filaments dried will. Before winding or cutting the filament threads if necessary These are turned into staple fibers by means of cooled godets cooled to room temperature.
The further object of the invention is a device create with which the procedure described above is carried out can be, is in the characterizing part of claim 9 specified. Thereafter, the system according to the invention Stretching device on, between two roller arrangements a heatable water bath is arranged in the lower and upper deflection bars perpendicular to the thread running direction are arranged adjustable in height. Opposite Deflection rods sit in such a way to gap that by a relative movement of the upper deflecting rods to the lower deflection bars, especially on the gaps to or from these, the looping on the deflecting rods is greatly changed. Are preferred the deflecting rods are not rotatably mounted on racks, and the distances can be set in groups.
The resulting polyethylene thread has a filament titer between 2 and 50 dtex and a strength of 7 cN / dtex up to 12 cN / dtex and / or a high modulus of elasticity. The so-called sonic modulus of elasticity of the thread produced according to the invention is between 40 and 50 GPa.
The polyethylene threads produced according to the invention, in particular HDPE threads are for a wide range of new ones Suitable applications. You can use them mainly as reinforcement material use when a light weight in Connection with high strength and high modulus of elasticity is required becomes. So the threads are also a substitute for asbestos fibers of great importance, especially for manufacturing of building materials such as B. slabs or polymer concrete.
werden (Fig. 3).Further details and features of the invention emerge from the following description in conjunction with the drawing, which schematically represents an apparatus for carrying out the method:
The HDPE melt is pressed by extruder 1 and a spinning pump through a spinneret 2 . The emerging HDPE threads are passed vertically downwards into a water bath 3 with a temperature of approximately 20 to 40 ° C. The units 4 and 5 are used for process monitoring and setting. The cooled threads are passed through the take-off device 6 and a deflection roller 13 into the water bath 8 heated to 60 ° C. to 100 ° C. The take-off device consists of a plurality of unheated rollers which are driven at the same peripheral speed and through which the filaments are drawn off the spinneret 2 at a take-off speed of 5 to 30 m / min. At the thread inlet into the water belt 8 , they are guided over the deflecting roller 13 around deflecting rods 7 immersed in water with partial wrap. Fig. 2 shows the deflecting rods ( 7.1 to 7.5 ), which are wrapped from above and below, the selected wrapping and the selected number of deflecting rods is set so that, for. B. a five-stage drawing takes place. The immersion depth of the deflecting rods ( 7.3, 7.4 and 7.5 ) can be set differently by tilting the frame ( 7.6 ). This allows the stretching ratio taking place in the individual drawing stages to be varied. The upper frame 7.6 can be moved and adjusted in the direction of the arrow and can be locked in selected positions. The lower frame 7.7 is fixed. The threads are drawn off from the water bath via a deflection roller 14 by a take-off device 9 , heated to 110 ° to 120 ° C., consisting of seven rollers driven at a speed decreasing in the direction of the thread. The take-off speed is 100 to 300 m / min. Instead of the winding 10 , the threads can be cut with a fiber cutting machine 11 and pressed into bales with a baler 12 ( FIG. 3).
