igten an.
Gliders are usually powered by towing winches

sofern man kurzzeitig wirkende Beschleunigungskräfte außer Be
Dadurch sinkt auch die Fluggeschwindigkeit des Flugzeugs ab.From DE-PS 30 35 023 a method and an apparatus for

Process has some disadvantages and therefore by the
Pilot is not accepted. The physical relationships
show that the rope force during the climb only from the pilot
can be influenced by pulling or pressing the elevator,

speed and thus the rope retraction speed slows down.
This also lowers the aircraft's airspeed.

the rope power is very difficult to reach. The position of the
Throttle control is constantly changing, what for the unstable towing
operation is responsible.

is.
This object is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1. Here, the position of the throttle lever of the winch motor, which is provided with an actual value transmitter, is changed with the aid of a setpoint transmitter as a function of the rope angle β between the horizontal and rope at the winch inlet, the time or the retracted rope length. The pilot then maintains certain flight speeds by pulling or pressing the elevator. If the airspeed is too high, the angle γ between the longitudinal axis of the aircraft and the horizontal becomes larger by pulling the elevator and thus the rope force required for stationary flight. Due to the limited position of the gas lever, the torque delivered by the engine is limited. If the force exerted by the motor on the rope does not correspond to the rope force required by the aircraft, the missing part is compensated for by negative acceleration, ie a reduction in the speed of the aircraft. The engine speed and thus the rope speed decrease, like a car that suddenly has to drive up a mountain and whose driver keeps the accelerator pedal constantly. If the airspeed is too slow, the pilot will press the elevator and the reverse process takes place as previously described, ie the aircraft is accelerated to a higher speed. This type of control quickly leads to a stable towing condition, which is no longer disturbed by changing the position of the throttle and is now accepted by the pilots. By simply changing the setpoint curve of the setpoint generator, the towing can easily be adapted to the needs of the individual pilots. This enables safe and optimal winch towing and the mechanical load on the aircraft cannot reach excessive values by limiting the maximum torque that can be output.
Zeit seit Startbeginn vorzugeben.Based on the known mathematical-physical relationships, taking into account the various parameters from the rope force on the towing winch, the effective force on the glider and thus its load can be calculated. Conversely, the permissible rope force or the maximum torque to be output by the winch motor can also be calculated on the basis of the permissible load on the glider. This then forms the basis for the course of the setpoints for the position of the throttle lever as a function of the rope angle β which the rope forms with the horizontal and which changes continuously during towing. The measurement of the rope angle β is technically quite complex. Calculations and numerous tests showed that the rope angle β can be replaced with sufficient accuracy by the time or the length of the rope pulled. These values are much easier to measure than the rope angle β . For this reason, it is much easier to specify the setpoints for the position of the throttle depending on the length of rope pulled in or the time since the start of the start.
Fig. 1 shows the course of a computed and empirically determined setpoint curve as a function of time. First of all, the setpoint for the throttle position is increased and maintained to a predetermined maximum value 1 within 3-8 sec, preferably 5-7 sec, depending on the weight of the flight, regardless of the wind. During this time, the aircraft is towed and accelerated to a speed that is above the take-off speed. Then, depending on the wind and flight weight, the setpoint 2 is increased either in the case of tail wind, in the case of a head wind it is further reduced in accordance with the prevailing wind speeds and is kept constant for a predetermined time. During this time, the aircraft is in the main climb phase. In the last part of the towing time, the setpoint 3 decreases continuously, during which the aircraft is almost returned to horizontal flight and the rope is released at the end.

Gashebel 8 verstellt.

The aircraft gains altitude. A position transmitter 5 continuously measures the position of the throttle lever 8 of the engine at any time and outputs an analog electrical signal into a comparison device 6 , the so-called actual value. A setpoint generator 7 , depending on the rope angle β , the time or the rope length drawn in since the start of the comparison device 6 setpoints for the position of the accelerator lever, which this compares with the actual value. Is the actual value z. B. too high, the comparison device 6 gives a display worth, which shows the winch driver that he should give less gas. If the comparison device 6 is a controller, this controls the actuator 11 accordingly, which in turn adjusts the throttle lever 8 . A display device 9 shows the deviation of the actual value from the target value of the comparison device 6 . In the simplest case, it is a moving coil measuring instrument that displays the differential voltage between the analog values of the setpoint and actual value. A measuring device 12 measures the angle β between the rope and the horizontal at the rope inlet. This measurement can be carried out mechanically and converted into electrical analog values, which are processed by the setpoint generator 7 to output the respective setpoint. A measuring device 13 measures the ropes drawn in since the start. This value is optionally passed on as a digital or analog value to the setpoint generator 7 for outputting the respective setpoint. A measuring device 14 determines the elapsed time since the start. The respective time value is possibly processed in the setpoint generator 7 to output the respective setpoint.
