Abstract

For reasons of better noise insulation, it is desirable temporarily to be able to deactivate the hydraulic damping device on elastic engine mounts in motor vehicles. This can, for example, be achieved by subjecting the damping fluid to a vacuum, thereby forming vapour bubbles. In order to achieve deactivation even with a comparatively weak vacuum, it is envisaged, according to the invention, that the damping fluid should contain gases or atmospheric air in solution as an additive.

Description

Hydraulisch gedämpftes elastisches LagerHydraulically damped elastic bearing

The invention relates to hydraulically damped elastic bearings, in particular engine mounts in motor vehicles, with a deformation of a rubber spring element inside the bearing housing displaced filling of a damping fluid.

It has long been common practice that while driving or even before Vibrations in elastic motor bearings caused by imbalances in the drive motor by displacing and throttled overflow of a liquid in one with the Bearing structurally coherent damping device for rapid decay too bring. Since the Cämpfungsvorrichtung on the other hand, but also again the noise transmission favored, it is desirable to temporarily switch off the damping at will to be able to determine the condition of the bearings with the significantly lower noise level of a purely elastic undamped bearing are effective. To this end, according to a proposal not belonging to the prior art, the damping fluid are exposed to a reduced negative pressure relative to the atmosphere, whereupon the as a result, vapor bubbles develop the dampening effect of the liquid practically cancel. If the functionality of this shutdown system is meanwhile has already basically proven in practice, did occur on various occasions Malfunctions because the vacuum available on the vehicles was not always sufficient, the necessary formation of vapor bubbles or vacuoles in the damping liquid produce. The invention is therefore as a task based on the The transition from the damped to the undamped vibration state of the bearings is already possible with the use of relatively low negative pressure values in the order of magnitude ensure low vacuum.

According to the invention, the above-mentioned is for elastic bearings Type provided that the damping fluid under the action of negative pressure Gases or gas mixtures diffusing out onto the liquid level, e.g. air, in solution, the damping fluid itself expediently being a silicone oil is. The invention thus makes the phenomenon known from colloid chemistry take advantage of the fact that the solubility of gases in liquids is increased by the application of pressure elevated. Conversely, it follows from this, however, that the damping fluid is under atmospheric pressure dissolved gases immediately partially out of the solution again when the external pressure drops emerge - comparable, for example, to opening a mineral water bottle, the carbon dioxide, which is usually pressed into the drinking liquid under 3 to 4 bar contains. Which are already under the influence of rough vacuum values in the liquid Forming vapor bubbles suffice in terms of volume in any case, the function cancel the damping device and the affected camp on acoustic block to switch.

With regard to the desired solution properties, silicone oil has proven itself proved to be particularly favorable. The invention, however, is not intended to be used of a specific filling medium, and there are no restrictions on use either derived from the design or function of the bearings.
