Abstract

1. A resistance element with serpentine current paths having flat reversal portions located in one plane at each side, embedded in insulating strips having a U-shaped cross-section each surrounded by a retaining strip having a U-shaped cross-section, the reversal portions being protected from contacting opposed current paths by location-fixing means inside the insulating strips, characterised in that the reversal portions (4) and the ends (2) of the resistance element (1) exhibit at least one rigid lateral projection (5, 6) in the area of each insulating strip (7), and the projections (5, 6) are held in form-locking engagement with the insulating strips (7) by the clamping retaining strips (8).
