Description
Device for the filtration of the water with several filter layers, through which the water is pressed. The invention aims, by action, of electric current, the filtration of the drinking water with an ozonization of the same to connect and in this way to bring about a complete sterilization of the water. The subject of the invention is to be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing.
Between two end plates a and b , an artificial stone c, serving as an oxidation body, is enclosed and has a cylindrical shape. The capillary artificial stone cylinder c serving as an oxidation body carries several outwardly upstream filter sand layers, for example two layers de, which are pressed tightly around the artificial stone by the press cover b, in such a way that the fine ring is immediately in front of the artificial stone c and the coarse one on the outer ring Layers lie on the outside. These upstream filter sand layers are held on the outside by a sieve cylinder or a cylinder made of wire mesh, braid or other suitable material. The oxidation and filter body produced in this way is enclosed by a container i to which the water to be filtered is fed through pipe socket k. The water penetrates radially through the filter sand layers and the capillary stone and flows off centrally through the pipe socket L. The lower face plate a is provided with pole terminals mm, the upper one with pole terminals n n ; so that the oxidation body c, which is designed as a good conductor of electricity, is connected to the pole terminals - and an electric current passes through it. The process of filtering is as follows: The water is pressed in from the outside through the perforated cylinder or the wire mesh g under high pressure @ and first passes the coarser layer of filter sand e, in which it is freed from its larger impurities. The water then gets into the finer sand layer d and finally through the capillary synthetic stone c, which acts as an oxidation body, to the outlet connection. 1. The water is under high pressure from 1 to 6 atm. or pressed through even higher and passes the capillary artificial stone ci in the finest distribution, in the latter there is a high oxidizing effect. Ozone is formed, as a result of which the filtered water is completely sterilized. Instead of the cylindrical oxidation body, any other shape of the same can of course also be used.
