Abstract

A tool is fixed to the bedplate (15) of a machine tool by a hydraulic clamp mounted on a base (1). The latter has a T-shaped slot in its underface to receive a nut engaged by a T-bolt (9) attached to the bedplate. The base has a central lug (1.4) with a pivot (7) for a lever (6). One end of the lever is in contact with a bolt (2.2) located in the base. This bolt supports a rotatable head (2) with a number of radial clamping lugs (21) with underfaces at graduated heights. The clamping force is applied by a hydraulic cylinder (5) with its piston rod in contact with the other end of the pivoting lever.
