Abstract

An electric drive motor (1) has its drive shaft extending between the two driven wheel axles and coupled to their hollow shafts (4) via a respective intermediate transmission (3). A noise insulation capsule extends between the transmission housings (3) at a given spacing from the stator stampings packet (1A) sufficient for passage of the cooling air flow. The top and sides of the sound insulation capsule (10) have applied sound insulation material (11,12,13), while the bottom surface (10C) is only covered by an anti-resonance mass.
