Abstract

1. A drum-type drying and/or washing machine comprising a heating element which is arranged between a reflector plate and the laundry drum for directly irradiating the laundry drum, an air-exhaust duet and an air-supply duet which extends over the reflector plate and is provided with a nozzle, via which duet the inlet air is led into the interior of the laundry drum by means of a centrifugal blower, characterized in that a perforated intermediate plate (25) which is satisfactorily heat-conducting and which is open towards the interior of the machine is arranged underneath the top panel (26) of the machine to form an air-collection space (27), in that the intake (30) of the blower (31) terminates in the intermediate plate (25), the outlet (32) of the blower being connected to the air-supply duet (20), and in that the top panel (26) is thermally insulated from the exterior.
