Abstract
The shovel is fitted for optionally swivelling forwards or sideways on a shovel loader. The assembly has an open-fronted trough (2) and carrier (3) detachably linked by top and bottom coupling elements (9,10,17,18) to a carrier frame movable vertically and swivelling forwards. The trough is attached so as to twist sideways. The top and/or bottom coupling elements, effective between carrier and frame, incorporate elements which can be coupled further forward, or further to the rear, in relation to the shovel loader's longitudinal direction. They may be attachable at a number of discreet angles between carrier and frame. This prevents loss of material over the front shovel edge when discharging sideways.
