The invention relates to a spray device for spraying cooling water onto a pressure vessel in a reactor located reactor core with loss of cooling water according to the preamble of claim 1. A Such a spray device is known from DE-OS 32 31 565.
Dabei fällt dann der Wasserspiegel derart ab, daß die Brennelemente freigelegt werden, der Reaktorkern also mit zu wenig oder ohne Kühlwasser arbeitet, was eine Überhitzung und Zerstörung der Brennelemente zurIn nuclear reactors, especially light water reactors, in which the one surrounded by a protective jacket If the reactor core is housed in a reactor pressure vessel, a loss of cooling water can occur if there is a break in the water supply system and the water flows out of the reactor core. Included then the water level falls so that the fuel elements are exposed, the reactor core with it too little or no cooling water works, which leads to overheating and destruction of the fuel assemblies
Folge haben kann. Can have a consequence.
In order to avoid such an operation of the reactor core without cooling water are usually above of the reactor core spraying devices (sprinkler systems) arranged to supply cooling water in an emergency. So a common spray device is of the so-called Horizontal type arranged along the peripheral wall of the protective jacket, between the upper part of the reactor core and a jacket cap which is releasably attached to the upper part of the protective jacket is and completes this.
In such a horizontal type sprayer, the cooling water becomes horizontal against the central axis of the reactor core is sprayed with the help of spray nozzles attached to a ring main are, for example spray tubes, which are verttilt along the circumference of the protective jacket.
Die Kühlwirkung im Mittelbereich des Reaktorkerns sinkt somit beträchtlich ab.However, this horizontal type sprayer presents considerable and serious problems with regard to such a uniform spraying of cooling water, also in the case of a loss of cooling water the central area of the reactor core is reached. In particular, the horizontal direction sprayed cooling water condenses the steam rising from the reactor core, with the result that the Cooling water can hardly reach the central area of the reactor core, so it does not become uniform The cooling water is distributed over the entire area of the reactor core. In addition, the Temperature distribution in the reactor core in the radial direction with respect to the circumferential area and the central area different, so that there is a problem of supplying enough water to the central area of the reactor core, which requires extremely efficient cooling, which means that the fuel assemblies are close the size of the reactor core are only allowed to work with a comparatively low power, whereas the fuel assemblies near the middle section operate with a comparatively high output. The consequence is that the Sprayed water droplets tend to condense on the circumference of the reactor core. Furthermore the rising steam through the sprayed cooling water is close to the circumference of the reactor core largely condensed, while almost no condensation takes place in the central area of the reactor core, because the subcooling temperature is high in the area of the core circumference and almost zero in the central area is. The cooling effect in the central area of the reactor core is therefore considerably reduced.
In order to avoid the disadvantages described, it has been proposed to design a spray device so that it ejects a large amount of pressurized cooling water so that a sufficient one Cooling water volume reaches the central area of the reactor core. A spray device designed in this way however, creates problems with regard to the arrangement and distribution of the spray nozzles as well as the design and size of the entire spray device if they supply the cooling water efficiently and evenly target.
Zur Überwindung der Nachteile der bekannten Sprühvorrichtungen vom Horizontaltyp sind auch Sprühvorrichtungen vom Vertikaltyp vorgeschlagen worden, bei denen das Kühlwasser von einem Bereich oberhalb des Reaktorkerns aus auf diesen gesprüht wird, wobei die Temperaturverteilung und die notwendige Sprühmenge des Kühlwassers längs der Radialrichtung des Reaktorkerns in Betracht gezogen .wordenTo overcome the disadvantages of the known spray devices of the horizontal type are also Spray devices of the vertical type have been proposed in which the cooling water from an area above the reactor core from being sprayed onto this, with the temperature distribution and the necessary The amount of spray of the cooling water along the radial direction of the reactor core has been taken into account
A conventional vertical type sprayer is attached to the jacket cap so that the cooling water is sprayed down on the reactor core, wherein this spray device is connected to a supply line which is on the wall of the reactor pressure vessel is attached and penetrates this, this supply line of the spray device cooling water feeds. However, with this spray device it is necessary to change the construction of the jacket cap, and furthermore, the requirement arises at the time of attachment or removal of the jacket cap troublesome connection and disconnection of the spray device to and from the cooling water supply pipe to the spray device.
Dieselben Probleme treten bei einer anderen Sprühvorrichtung vom Vertikaltyp auf, bei welcher die mit Düsen versehene Sprühvorrichtung an der Innenseite der Mantelkappe angebracht ist und das Kühlwasser nach unten sprüht Zusätzlich wird dabei das Gewicht der Mantelkappe wesentlich erhöhtThe same problems arise with another vertical type spray device in which the with Nozzles provided spray device is attached to the inside of the jacket cap and the cooling water sprays downwards In addition, the weight of the jacket cap is significantly increased
The object of the present invention is therefore to create an improved, compact spray device vertical type capable of uniformly spraying the reactor core with cooling water. The spray device should be provided with spray nozzles that are located above the reactor core are located and it should be able to be moved in a simple manner into a position in which they exchange not obstructed by fuel rods.
The invention is based on a spray device for spraying cooling water onto one in a reactor vessel located reactor core when a loss of cooling water occurs in the space between the reactor core surrounded by a protective jacket and a jacket cap located on the protective jacket is arranged, the device being characterized by a tube arrangement along the inner circumference of the protective jacket, through a plurality of spoke tubes that pivot with the tube assembly connected and pivotable between a horizontal and a vertical position, and by a multitude of spray nozzles that sit on the spoke tubes and cool water down onto the reactor core spray.

Im Zwischenraum zwischen Mantelkappe 3 und Reaktorkern 1 befindet sich eine Sprühvorrichtung 11, die mit einer Leitung 17 verbunden ist, welche an der Mantelkappe 3' angebracht ist und sich durch diese und den Druckkessel 10 hindurcherstreck., wie dies aus F i g. 1 ersichtlich istIn the case of the FIG. 1, a reactor core is located in a reactor pressure vessel 10 and is surrounded by a protective jacket 3 ′, the upper part of which is covered by a jacket cap 3. in the A spray device 11 is located between the jacket cap 3 and the reactor core 1, with the a line 17 is connected, which is attached to the jacket cap 3 'and through this and the Pressure vessel 10 extends through. As shown in FIG. 1 can be seen
Eine Ausführungsform der Sprühvorrichtung 11 ist in F i g. 2 in vergrößertem Maßstab dargestellt, wobei gebogene Rohre 12, bei dieser Ausführungsform sind esOne embodiment of the spray device 11 is shown in FIG. 2 shown on an enlarged scale, being curved Tubes 12, in this embodiment it is

Teil des Speichenrohres 14 verbunden ist.ίο two pipes are connected to one another so that they form a substantially circular pipe arrangement 12 which extends above the reactor core 1 along the circumference of the jacket head 3 ' with help? of connecting bodies 15, such that the spoke tubes 14 extend towards the central axis of the reactor core when they are pivoted into the horizontal position. A plurality of spray nozzles 13 are attached to each spoke tube 14. Furthermore, a curved pipe 17 is attached to the pipe arrangement 12, which pipe serves to supply cooling water to the spray device 11. The pipeline 17, which is carried by the protective jacket 3 'and the wall of the reactor pressure vessel 10, is best shown in FIG. 3 to be seen. It is therefore not necessary to disconnect the spray device from the cooling water pipe 17 when the jacket cap 3 is removed.
During normal operation of the nuclear reactor, the spray device 11 is in the position shown in FIG. 3, and the inner ends of the spoke tubes 11 are connected to one another by a circular ring body 20, namely by known connecting elements, such as the one shown in FIG. 4, wherein the reference numeral 25 denotes a leaf spring attached to the lower surface of the ring 20 and adapted to engage a hook body 26 connected to the upper part of the spoke tube 14.
If the jacket cap 3 is used for the purpose of replacing fuel rods or fuel rod assemblies 2 is to be removed, then the ring 20 is first removed, whereupon the spoke tubes 14 on the connecting bodies 15 can be pivoted upwards by about 90 °, as shown in FIG. 5 is shown the hook bodies being hung in a crane. The fuel rods 2 can then be exchanged unhindered without it being necessary to remove the spray device 11. The spoke tubes 14 are designed to remain in their vertical and horizontal positions by use not shown stop body. In order to achieve a smooth pivoting of the spoke tubes 14, it is necessary to use straight connecting bodies 15, as shown in FIG. 6 are shown, with their Help a connection with the bent tubes 12 is made. Because of this, it can also be beneficial be to use a polygonal tube assembly 12 as shown schematically in FIG. 7 is shown.
Die Anzahl und Verteilung der Sprühdüsen 13 an denThe circular ring 20 can be replaced by a small disk 21, as shown in FIG. 8 is shown. The disk 21 can also be attached to the inner ends of the spoke tubes 14 by known bayonet locks or by bolts. According to another embodiment, the ring 20 or the disk 21 can be held by a support body (not shown) which is attached to the jacket cap 3.
The number and distribution of the spray nozzles 13 to the
Spoke tubes 14 can be selected as desired depending on the application.
In the event of a loss of cooling water, the spray device 11 constructed according to the invention becomes dependent by an emergency signal in action and supplies cooling water to the reactor core from the cooling water supply line 17 via the tube arrangement 12, the spoke tubes 14 and the spray nozzles 13. The cooling water is sprayed in a predetermined amount through the spray nozzles 13 distributed downwards. The Spoke tubes 14 by the downwardly ejected cooling water of a counterforce in an upward direction subject, however, because the inner ends of the spoke tubes 14 through the circular ring 20 or the disc 21 are connected to one another, the spoke tubes 14 remain in their horizontal position and are not pivoted upwards According to the invention, the spray device is located above the reactor core and is provided with a multitude of spoke tubes that extend inward from the protective jacket extending towards the central region of the reactor core with each spoke tube along the radial direction is provided with spray nozzles which are able to deliver a required amount of cooling water evenly and effectively to be fed to the reactor core when a loss of cooling water occurs. The spoke tubes can be pivoted from its horizontal position to a vertical position, so that it is not necessary to Remove spray device when replacing fuel rods or fuel rod assemblies the jacket cap must be removed.
