Description
The invention relates to a device for examining concave mirrors, such as those used, for example, for headlight purposes. In investigations of this kind, it is primarily the scattering that is of interest, because the long-range effect of the headlamp largely depends on it.
Die Streuung eines Scheinwerfers ist durch zwei Faktoren, die räumliche Ausdehnung derThe dispersion of a headlight is due to two factors, the spatial extent of the
ίο Lichtquelle und die Ungenauigkeit des Spiegels, bedingt. Für die Praxis kommt es im allgemeinen weniger auf die durch jeden Faktor bestimmte Streuung als auf die Streuung an, die beim Zusammenwirken beiderίο light source and the inaccuracy of the mirror, conditional. In practice, it is generally less the scatter determined by each factor than the scatter that when both of them work together
380). Auch neuere Apparate arbeiten in gleicher Weise.Factors actually 'occur. To this scatter To measure, one often has a spatial light source through individual points that in the case of electric headlights are on a crater diameter, marked. Such a one Establishment is described, for example, by F. Nerz in his book "Headlights and remote lighting" (collection of electrotechnical Lectures, Stuttgart, 1899, on page 379 and. 380). Newer devices also work in same way.
. With all of these devices the problem arises that the light source is from the edge of the mirror is only visible in its projection. The measurements with these facilities consequently result in a scatter for the edge of the mirror that is smaller than the actual spread. In reality, the scatter is on the edge because of of the greater distance from the focal point less than in the middle, but not in that Dimensions, as indicated by the previous investigation facilities. .
According to the invention is now with the observation devices. proceed in such a way that these facilities are only carried over those places from which the marked Light source unabridged, d. H. is not seen in the projection. To this end the observation device is provided with guides that only allow it to move according to the relevant bodies.
In Fig. 1 to 3, an embodiment of the new device is shown schematically. In the focal point of the Concave mirror 10 is arranged a point light source Ii. On one through the In addition, there are two further point-shaped light sources 12 at the imaginary focal point and 13 at a distance from the focal point, for example the radius of a Arc lamp crater. In Fig. 2 are the three luminous points 11, 12 and 13 in a row, so that only the point 13 in front is visible. The reflection of these three points is now through an observation device, in the example a photographic camera 14, examines. According to the invention, the camera is to be guided in such a way that it has the marked light source unabridged, d. H. not in the project
