Den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildet ein Briefumschlag für Drucksachen u. dgl. Der Briefumschlag soll die Nachprüfung des Inhalts durch die Postbehörde gestatten. Brief Umschläge, deren Verschlußklappen beim Schließen mittels Vorsprünge oder Zungen durch Öffnungen der Umschläge gesteckt werden, sind begannt. Bei der Herstellung des Briefumschlages werden -die Falze nacheinander um die Linien j, k, m in der gewöhnlichen Weise gebildet, wie dies, aus den, Fig. 2 und 3 hervorgeht. Dann werden die Vorsprünge H, H in die Öffnungen G, G eingefügt (Fig. 3), und die Klappe F wird nach innen entlang der Linie p geklappt. Patent-Anspruch: ,Patent claim:, Briefumschlag für Drucksachen, dessen Seitenklappen mittels durch Öffnungen im Rückenteil des Umschlages gesteckter Vorsprünge befestigt werden, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Vorsprünge (Ji) der Seitenklappe bzw. der Seitenklappen (C, D) durch Schlitze (G) ragen, die längs einer Faltlinie (p) zwischen der Rückseite (B) des Umschlages und einer Verriegelungsklappe' (F) an ihr ängeordnet sind, die nach innen gegen den Vorderteil (A) .des Umschlages umgefaltet wird und die mit den Vorsprüngen ausgerüsteten Kanten der Seitenklappen umgreift.
