Aufgabe dieser vorliegenden Erfindung ist es daher, einen Mähdrescher der eingangs näher bezeichneten Art so auszubilden, daß dieser rSachteil vermieden wird und ein nahezu völliger Ausdrusch des Erntegutes gewährleistet ist. Das wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch erreicht, daß den sich in Fahrtrichtung erstreckenden Dresch-und Abscheidetrommeln eine herkömmliche, sich über die gesamte Maschinenbreite erstreckende Dreschtrommel mit zugehörigem, herkömmlichen Dreschkorb vorgeordnet ist. Die Dresch- und Abscheidetrommeln sind in ihrem Aufgabebereich konisch ausgebildet und mit Schneckeneinzugswindven 8 und 9 besetzt. Beide in einer Ebene liegende Trommeln 6 und 7 sind gleichsinnig antreibbar, so daß das orn-Spreu-Stroh-Gemisch die beladen in Längsrichtung angeordneten Trommeln schraubenförmig umläuft. Sie sind in einem gemeinsamen Gehäuse 10 gelagert, wobei das Gehäuse 10 im Bereich unterhalb der Dreschtrommeln 6 und 7 als Abscheidekorb 11 ausgebildet ist. Im Inneren dieses Gehäuses 10 und zwar vorzugsweise oberhalb der Dreschtrommeln 6 und 7 sind Bleche 12 vorgesehen, die der Führung des Gemisches dienen.
