Stand der TechnikState of the art
The invention is based on a differential amplifier according to the preamble of the main claim. From the U.S. Patent 3,946,303. Figure 3a. a differential amplifier of this type is already known. With this differential amplifier the current equality in the two amplifier branches is the case with higher load currents lost.
Vorteile der ErfindungAdvantages of the invention
Dsr differential amplifier according to the invention with the characterizing features of the main claim has the advantage that the size of the Load current through the differential amplifier is compensated with the help of the second current mirror, that the current equality in the two amplifier branches is maintained even with higher load currents remains, whereby the current level is increased and adapted to the increased load current.

Beschreibung der ErfindungDescription of the invention
Der in F i g. 1 dargestellte bekannte Differenzverstärker enthält einen ersten NPN-Transistor 71 uud einenThe in F i g. 1 shown known differential amplifier includes a first NPN transistor 71 and one
ίο zweiten NPN-Transistor Ti.
an Masse angeschlossen.
The emitters of these two transistors are connected to one another and connected via a current source Sir to the negative pole of the supply voltage, which in turn is connected to ground. A PNP transistor Ti serving as a current mirror is also provided. The emitter of the PNP transistor T 3 is connected to the positive pole 10 of the supply voltage. The base of the PNP transistor 71 is connected to the collector of the first NPN transistor 7! connected. The first collector of the PNP transistor T 3 is connected to the collector of the second NPN transistor Tj . The second collector of the PNP transistor Ti is connected to the collector of the first NPN transistor Γι.
In the differential amplifier according to the invention shown in FIG. 2, the PNP transistor Ti also has a third collector which is connected to the collector and to the base of a third K-n NPN transistor T * . The emitter of this NPN transistor Ta is connected to ground. The base of the NPN transistor T 4 is connected to the base of a fourth NPN transistor 7s, the emitter of which is also connected to ground and the collector of which is connected to the connection point of the two emitters of the NPN transistors Γι and T2 . The third NPN transistor T 4 and the fourth NPN transistor T form a second current mirror.
In FIGS. 1 and 2, U \ and Ui denote the two input voltages to be compared, and / 1, h, / 3, ... denote the currents in the individual two currents.
In the simple differential amplifier circuit according to FIG. 1, the accuracy of the voltage comparison of the two input voltages U \ and Ui is primarily impaired by the inequality of the currents I 2 and 4, which exists as a result of the load current / 1.
Die erfindungsgemäße Schaltung gemäß Fig. 2 behebt bzw. vermindert diesen Einfluß dadurch, daß mit zunehmendem Strom Λ auch der Versorgungsstrom /10 vergrößert wird, wodurch das StromgleichgewichtThe circuit according to the invention as shown in FIG. 2 eliminates or reduces this influence in that with increasing current Λ also the supply current / 10 is enlarged, thereby the current balance
This is achieved in that a further current / 7 is derived from the current mirror Tj and, after another mirroring by the transistors T 4 and Γ5, the transistors Γι and T? is fed. Any degree of compensation can be achieved depending on the selection of the transmission ratios of the two slrom mirrors.
In practice, only partial compensation will be used, since a "basic current" h is required for the case A = O and to compensate for the non-ideal transformation ratios (see FIG. 2).
The invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiment described with reference to FIG. In particular, instead of the current mirror circuit formed by the two transistors T 4 and Ts, other current mirror circuits can also be used for the second current mirror.
The differential amplifier according to the invention can be implemented using monolithically integrated technology.
