Ein möglicher Aufbau eines Wandelementsystems ist in Abb.l dargestellt. So besteht ein Wandelementsystem aus einer Antriebseinheit mit Motor (1), dem vorderen Laufwagen (2), dem hinteren Laufwagen (3), der Laufschiene (4) und dem Wandelement (5). In dieser Ausführungsform befindet sich der Antrieb also in einem Hohlraum innerhalb des Wandelementes.
