FernrohrTelescope
Stand der TechnikState of the art
The invention is based on a telescope according to the preamble of claim 1. This includes monoculars, binoculars, spotting scopes and also rifle scopes.
Zusätzliche Informationen, welche sich auch konkret auf die durch dasFrom the state of the art (DE 42 22 417 A1) telescopes are known in which an information carrier can be introduced into the optical path of the optics with the help of an information deflection device. If this information is not required, the user can operate the mechanical or electrical drive of the deflection device in order to swing the information carrier out of the optical path. A disadvantage of these known telescopes is that the information carriers, which can be liquid crystal or light-emitting diode displays, are very limited in terms of the possible information. Usually, the direction, time, distance, temperature, reticules, maps or the display of a compass are displayed. Additional information, which also relates specifically to the information provided by the

Bewegt der Benutzer das Gehäuse des Fernrohres gegenüber derIn contrast, the telescope according to the invention with the characterizing features of claim 1 has the advantage that a computer output device is provided as the information carrier. With the help of this output device, additional information can be displayed in the optical image or the optical image can be completely replaced by computer images. Both functions can also be carried out simultaneously. The displayed data, images or information come from a database accessible via the computer. In this way, a large number of different pieces of information can be called up. For example, it is possible to display information about the objects visible through the telescope. Using a suitable input device that can be operated by the user, different pieces of information can be selected, for example, via a menu interface. Depending on the type and amount of information, the optical image can also be completely replaced by one or more images from a computer database. For example, if the viewer has set the telescope's optics to the highest possible magnification level and wishes to increase the magnification further, the optical image can be replaced by corresponding images stored in a computer database that show the object being viewed at a higher magnification. Additional information can be displayed in these images. In this case, the two functions of displaying complete images and displaying additional information are linked. If the user moves the housing of the telescope relative to the

If you mount a telescope to view another object, the distance between the two objects can be simulated as a flight path. The computer's output device can either be permanently in the optical path of the optics or can only be swung into the optical path when necessary.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, sensors are provided which determine the setting of the optics and/or the setting of the housing relative to the telescope mount and which are coupled to the computer. In this way, the computer receives information about which objects are visible through the telescope. The computer displays information or additional images for these objects. If further magnification is desired when the optics are at the highest possible magnification level, the computer accesses the correspondingly enlarged images stored in the database. Depending on the quality of these images, the viewer cannot distinguish between the reproductions of the object enlarged by the optics and the images from the computer database. The movement of the telescope relative to the telescope mount has an effect comparable to that of moving a mouse or a trackball. By moving the telescope, the user can select which information and which images are displayed on the computer's output device displayed in the beam path.
Werden Gegenstände in großer Entfernung betrachtet, so ist dieAccording to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the device for displaying information is controlled by the computer. For example, the computer can swing the output device in or out of the beam path. If objects are viewed at a great distance, the

eingeschwenkte Ausgabevorrichtung hinderlich, da sie Licht absorbiert.A swiveled-in dispensing device is a hindrance because it absorbs light.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, a loudspeaker is provided. In this way, not only a visual but also an acoustic reproduction of information is possible. For example, the images visible through the telescope can be commented on accordingly.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, a device for generating odors and/or scents is provided. This can be an atomizer, for example.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the computer is connected to a central server or to a data network. In this way, a large amount of data can be accessed with the help of the computer. This can in particular also involve very current information or a display of several images in real time.
Further advantages and advantageous embodiments of the invention can be found in the claims.
