Zahnbürstetoothbrush

Zahnkaries und Parodontalerkrankungen gehören weltweit zu den am meisten verbreiteten Krankheiten. Werden sie nach ihrer Entstehung nicht behandelt, führen sie in absehbarer Zeit zur Zerstörung bzw. Lockerung des Zahnes und schließlich zu seinem Verlust. Die Ursachen beider Krankheiten ist das Vorhandensein von Plaque, einem nicht wegspülbaren Belag, bestehend aus Bakterien, Polisacchariden, Zellresten, Nahrungsrückständen. Als wichtigste Maßnahme zur Vorbeugung beider Krankheiten gilt die persönliche Mundhygiene. Durch regelmäßige und intensive Anwendung von Zahnbürste und Zahnseide kann die Plaque meist gar nicht entstehen bzw. wird kurz nach ihrem Entstehen entfernt.Tooth decay and periodontal disease are among the most common diseases worldwide. Mit den üblichen Zahnbürsten, bei denen die Borsten etwa rechtwinklig zur Handgrifflängsachse angeordnet sind, kann man die Außen- und Innenfläche der Zähne reinigen. Die Problemzonen beim Reinigen der Zähne sind die Vorder- und Hinterflachen derselben (sog. Kontaktflächen oder Approxinalflachen). Bei einer geschlossenen Zahnreihe kann die normale Bürste nur einen Teil des Zwischenraums erreichen. Bei Zahnlücken (und dies betrifft vorwiegend ältere Menschen) ist es unmöglich, eine normale Zahnbürste, deren Borstenfeld nahezu senkrecht zum Bürstengriff ausgerichtet ist, so auf die Vorder- und Hinterflächen dieser Einzelzähne aufzusetzen, - bedingt durch die Bewegungseinschränkung von Lippen und Wangen - daß durch horizontal-oszillierende Bürstenbewegung diese gereinigt werden könnten. Es kommt zu einer massiven Plaqueansammlung auf diesen Zahnflächen und zu einem vorzeitigen Verlust dieser so wichtigen Prothesenpfeiler. Zahnbürste, deren Borsten mindestens teilweise in Längsrichtung des Handgriffes verlaufen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Handgriff (1, 11) etwa an seinem dem Griffteil (2) entgegengesetzten Ende mindestens einen etwa senkrecht zur Handgriffslängsachse (5) verlaufenden Bürstenkopf (3, 7, 8, 12, 13) aufweist, an welchem ein zum Griffteil (2) gerichtetes und in Handgrifflängsachse (5) verlaufendes Borstenfeld (4, 10) vorgesehen ist. 1.
