Dünn muß dieser Befestigungsschenkel deshalb sein, weil er sich allgemein in der beispielsweise Kleberschicht erstreckt, mit dem der Wandbelag auf der Wand befestigt wird. Die Vertiefung hat den Zweck, daß hier Befestigungsmasse eindringen kann, durch die der Wandbelag 22 an seinem Ende besser eingebunden werden kann. Die Hinterschneidung trägt dazu bei, daß ein Auseinanderbewegen zwischen Wandbelag und Profil auch in der Ebene des Wandbelages erschwert wird. Es ist erkennbar, daß die Vertiefung 30 sich - bezogen auf die zeichnerische Darstellung - nicht bis nach links in den Bereich der Oberfläche des zweiten Befestigungsschenkels erstreckt. Dies würde eine zu starke Materialschwächung im Kreuzungsbereich des Profils 2 herbeiführen, weswegen im Ausführungsbeispiel die Vertiefung 30 schmaler ausgeführt ist als die Vertiefung 26.
