Heizkörper für Warmwasser- oder DampfheizungRadiators for hot water or steam heating

The invention relates to radiators for hot water or steam heating, through which the heating medium flows via a flow and return line. These radiators are known according to their design as radiators, panel radiators, tubular radiators or convectors. They are used to give off heat by convection to the surrounding air and by radiation to the surrounding room. A special design is the so-called bathroom radiator, which in addition to heating the room can also be used for drying towels, for example. These bathroom radiators usually consist of pipes that are laid parallel between a distribution pipe and a collecting pipe and are thus forced to be flowed through by the heating medium. One design consists of horizontal pipes that protrude far beyond the distribution pipe and the collecting pipe (T280-1/053, DE 4409767) and thus enable a towel to be dried to be hung over the pipe from the side, for example. The heating water flow through the cantilevered pipe is achieved by a longitudinally installed baffle (flow and return chamber in the pipe).

However, if shoes or other items are to be dried, they must be placed under, close to or next to a piece of furniture or a console or on the radiator in order to expose them to the heat of the radiator.

The invention aims to provide a radiator for hot water or steam heating with particular suitability for drying shoes or the like.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that several blind nozzles 1 pointing vertically or obliquely upwards and provided with flat or curved bottoms are attached to conventional or special radiators.

The shoes etc. can be pulled over these blind sockets, whereby the heat from the blind socket passes directly into the inside of the shoe and the shoe is warmed and dried from the inside out.

Die Blindstutzen 1 können an üblichen Heizkörpern angebracht werden (Fig. 1).The blind nozzles 1 can be attached to conventional radiators (Fig. 1).

The blind sockets 1 can also be placed on a distribution pipe 2, which is provided with connections for the heating flow 8 and the heating return 9 (Fig. 2). Distribution pipe 2 and blind sockets 1 can have a circular cross-section or another cross-section that serves the purpose.

Blindstutzen 1 und Verteilrohr 2 können auch so realisiert werden, daß zwei entsprechend zugeschnittene und tiefgezogene Blechhälften 3 und 4 am Umfang dicht (z.B. durch Bördeln, Löten oder Schweißen) verbunden werden (Fig. 3).Blind nozzle 1 and distribution pipe 2 can also be realized in such a way that two appropriately cut and deep-drawn sheet metal halves 3 and 4 are tightly connected around the circumference (e.g. by flanging, soldering or welding) (Fig. 3).

The heating water circulates in the blind socket 1 by gravity without any special fittings. When heated with steam, the steam condenses in the blind socket 1 and the condensate drips back into the distribution pipe 2.

To vent the blind sockets 1 pointing upwards, each blind socket 1 can be provided with a vent plug 7. It is also possible to vent the blind socket radiator at only one point and to direct the air from the blind sockets 1 through built-in tubes 5 to a vent plug 7 (Fig. 4).

Another possibility for venting is if the radiator is connected to the mains in the supply and return lines 8, 9 via hoses 6 and is tilted for venting (Fig. 5).

Die Schuhtrocknung mit speziellem Blindstutzen-Heizkörper kann im Vergleich zur Trocknung an üblichen Heizkörpern sehr wärmesparend erfolgen - bei Trocknung in einem wenig oder nicht beheiztem Raum - indem das Verteilrohr 2 (nach Fig. 2 oder 3) in der Oberfläche so klein wie möglich gehalten wird, indem es wärmeisoliert wird und indem über nicht benutzte Blindstutzen eine wärmeisolierende Hülle (z.B. eine Hülle aus Schaumstoff) gesteckt wird .Shoe drying with a special blind nozzle radiator can be very heat-efficient compared to drying with conventional radiators - when drying in a room that is not heated or not heated at all - by keeping the surface of the distribution pipe 2 (as shown in Fig. 2 or 3) as small as possible, by insulating it and by placing a heat-insulating cover (e.g. a cover made of foam) over unused blind nozzles.

To regulate the temperature at the blind socket 1, a control valve 10 can be installed in the flow 8 (or in the return 9) of the radiator, the temperature sensor of which is attached to a blind socket 1. This protects shoes that need to be dried from excessive temperatures, particularly in heating systems with higher flow temperatures.
