Milchpumpen herkömmlicher Bauart weisen einen starren Ansaugstutzen auf und verfugen über keine selbst aktiven KJeinkissen. Es gibt bisher Milchpumpen, die kleine passive Kissen am vorderen Rand des starren Ansaugstutzens.beinhalten, welche durch den Unterdruck in der Kammer passiv mitbewegt werden. So beispielsweise bei der „ISIS"-Milchpumpe der Firma AVENT ausgeführt. Diese Milchpumpen haben keinen aktiven Mechanismus, der auf die Brust, einwirken könnte. Das bedeutet, daß die Kleinkissen lediglich mit der Brust in den Ansaugstutzen hineingezogen werden, wobei der Rand, des Ansaugstutzens auf die Brust drückt und der Unterdruck die Milch heraussaugt. Die Richtung der Kräfte, vom Ansaugstutzen auf die Brust sind dabei überwiegend nicht analog der bei kindlichen Saugbewegungen auftretenden Kräfte. Der Abpumpvorgang gestaltet sich daher zeitaufwendig, nervenaufreibend und die Mütter fühlen sich zur Milchäbgabestation reduziert. Besonders durch die häufige Mehrfachbelastungen von Müttern ist eine Unterstützung in diesem sensiblen Bereiche besonders wertvoll. -: , ( Conventional breast pumps have a rigid suction nozzle and do not have any self-active milk cushions.
