Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen kappenförmigen, mit einer Dichtungseinlage versehenen, zum Verschliessen eines Behälters, wie z.B. Glasbehälter, dienenden Deckel aus verhältnismäßig weichem Blech, dessen Seitenwand durch eine Bördelung ihres Randes begrenzt ist und eine einzige, ohne Unterbrechung umlaufende, nach innen vorspringende Sicke aufweist, deren Innendurchmesser etwas kleiner ist als der Außendurchmesser des bei der Schliesslage des Deckels von der Sicke zu hintergreifenden Behältermündungsrandes. Aus dem Stand der Technik sind verschiedene Ausführungsformen derartiger kappenförmiger Deckel bekannt. Diese haben an sich den Vorteil, dass sie den entsprechenden Behälter in zufriedendenstellender Weise luftdicht verschliessen.
