25. Juni 199725 June 1997
The invention relates to a belt steering and belt tensioning device for a belt conveyor system, which is preferably used in open-cast mining for the transport of bulk material, according to the preamble of the main claim.
Based on the fact that the necessary frictional connection must be present between the drive and the belt of belt conveyor systems and that excessive belt sagging between the support rollers is to be avoided, belt tensioning devices are used that are specifically adapted to the respective conveyor and the existing space conditions. A belt conveyor system in the classic basic form consists of two deflection drums, of which the one at the front in the direction of conveyance is the drive drum and the one at the back is the tensioning drum. The required tensioning path is preferably based on the length of the conveyor belt, the elasticity of the belt and the load caused by the mass of the goods being conveyed.
Clamping devices are known in which the tensioning drum is moved linearly by means of a cable pull through a winch or tensioning mass, by means of a hydraulic or pneumatic drive or by means of a spindle drive. The clamping devices are integrated into the belt frame or the frame of the belt conveyor device. The tensioning drum can also move in the tensioning direction beyond the end of the belt frame.
In the solution according to DE 295 09 413 U1, a device is provided for tensioning the conveyor belt, which is based on a mechanical basis using a threaded spindle. The maximum tensioning path is determined by the length of the spindle's thread. Such a solution is therefore only suitable for short tensioning paths.

The clamping device according to patent DE 35 31 552 C2, on the other hand, allows the hydraulically actuated clamping element to be adjusted step by step, so that a longer clamping distance is achieved than the actual stroke of the actuating element, the lifting cylinder. This solution is particularly suitable for applications where space is limited. They are therefore particularly advantageous for use in underground operations. Such complex solutions are not necessary in open areas, as there is usually sufficient space available here.
For use in open terrain, solutions with relatively long clamping distances adapted to the conveyor systems are known from practical use in open-cast mining. In these, the clamping devices are generously integrated into the conveyor frame in terms of their spatial extent and thus form the specially designed beginning of the conveyor system, which lies outside the actual conveyor path. Therefore, the clamping devices must be completely adapted to different conveyor systems. If an extension of the conveyor path is required at a later date due to an expansion of the mining area, the required clamping length also changes accordingly. The clamping device must therefore be designed for this maximum clamping length from the outset. On the other hand, it can happen that a conveyor system is moved from an exhausted open-cast mine to a new open-cast mine. Since this new conveyor system can differ significantly in length from the previous conveyor system, other clamping distances are also required. The clamping device is then not optimally designed. If the new conveyor system is relocated compared to the old one, considerable adjustment work is therefore required or even a completely new clamping device must be provided.
Erforder-The invention is therefore based on the task of designing the clamping devices in such a way that they can be almost identical in terms of their basic construction for different conveyor systems and so the same basic type can be used with little adjustment work. Required
5If necessary, it must also be possible to replace a previously used clamping device that no longer meets the operating conditions with a clamping device with a clamping length that is adapted to the new operating conditions. 5
This object is achieved according to the invention with a tensioning device which has the features of the characterizing part of the main claim. Only two bolts are required to connect the tensioning device, which is designed as a separate assembly, to the belt system.
However, the dimensioning of the height of the bolt connection is essential for the functionality of the invention. It depends on the belt tensile forces in the upper and lower strands and must be located at a determined point between the upper strand and the axis of the deflection and tensioning drum. By separating the belt deflection and tensioning device from the belt conveyor system, mass savings can be achieved. In practice, fastening with just two bolt joints is easy to implement even under extreme conditions. The tensioning device can therefore be easily released to move or extend the belt system and can be transported more easily due to its low weight and small dimensions.
The ease of maintenance of a tensioning device designed in this way is significantly higher than that of those integrated into the belt system. If an extension of the conveyor path of the belt conveyor system also requires an extension of the tensioning path, the existing belt deflection and belt tensioning device can be replaced with one with a longer tensioning path.
Es zeigen:Further details and advantages of the subject matter of the invention can be seen from the following exemplary embodiment with the associated drawings. They show:

-4-Fig.
2 the part of the movable belt system according to Fig. 1 in plan view.
Die beiden Längsträger 13The two figures show the rear section of a movable belt system in the form that is preferably used in open-cast mining. The conveying path for the bulk material is determined by the belt 1 with its upper run 1a and its lower run 1b and begins in the area of the loading station 2 for the conveyed material. The loading station 2 must be designed to be particularly stable due to the load it bears from the conveyed material falling onto it. The support frame 3 of the belt system therefore consists in the area of the loading station 2 of the two parallel longitudinal beams 4 and the support feet 5 with the sliding skids 6 arranged underneath, as are used in movable belt systems. The support roller stations are arranged in the support frame 3, with the support roller stations for the upper run 1a being designed as three-part articulated garland support roller stations 7 and the support roller stations for the returning lower run 1b as rigid support roller stations 8. In the area of the loading station 2, the articulated garland roller stations 7 are arranged in a much denser sequence than in the rest of the conveying area.
Above the loading station 2, the drive drum 10 of the feed conveyor is shown, from where the material to be conveyed falls overhead onto the upper run 1a of the belt 1 of the retractable belt system. A loading chute 9 is located on the support frame 3 in the area of the material loading station 2.
The belt 1 is tensioned by the deflection and tensioning drum 11. It is shown in the drawings in both end positions. This deflection and tensioning drum 11 forms a separate unit with the frame 12 and the tensioning mechanism, which is connected to the loading station 2 of the movable belt system in a manner described in more detail below. The frame 12 is formed by the two outer longitudinal beams 13 arranged parallel to one another, which are connected to one another at the end by a cross beam 14 and are provided with support feet 15 and a skid 16 arranged underneath. The two longitudinal beams 13
Es können aber auch Spannantriebe zum Einsatz kommen, die mittels hydraulischer Spannzylinder oder elektromechanischer Spindeltriebe betätigbar sind.are designed to be split in their longitudinal direction according to Fig. 1 and thus consist of an upper and a lower half. A certain parallel distance from one another creates a guide 17 on both sides of the longitudinal beams 13 divided in this way, in which the deflection and tensioning drum 11 can be moved longitudinally via guide pieces 19 arranged on both sides of its axis 18. The guide 17 can also be referred to as a guide and the guide piece as a sliding block. The maximum possible tensioning path depends on the length of these guides 17. The tensioning drive 20, consisting of a cable drum 22 with the electric motor 21, is attached to the outside of one side of the frame 12. The tensioning cable 23 is guided from the cable drum 22 as a horizontally arranged pulley, with the cable pulleys 24 being attached on the one hand to the cross member 14 as fixed pulleys and on the other hand to a portal-shaped drawbar 25 that is rotatably connected to the axis 18 of the deflection and tensioning drum 11 as loose pulleys. The tensioning cable 23 can also be tensioned by a weight instead of by a winch. The use of a tensioning weight, however, has the disadvantage that the tensioning force cannot be varied. It always remains the same. However, tensioning drives can also be used that can be operated by means of hydraulic tensioning cylinders or electromechanical spindle drives.
The belt tensioning device provided can be operated by an automatic control and regulating device depending on the load. In the case of high belt loads, such as when starting up or when the belt 1 is loaded to the maximum with material to be conveyed, temporarily greater belt tensioning forces can be generated than with lower belt loads. The belt 1 is thus protected under lower loads and therefore has a longer service life.
Im Ausführungsbeispiel ist an den Längsträgern 4 des Traggerüstes 3 der Aufgabestelle 2 jeweils eine Lasche 26 und an den Längsträgern 13 der Bandumlenk- und BandspannvorrichtungThe connection of the separate belt tensioning and belt deflection device with the movable belt conveyor system is made in the area of the two longitudinal beams 4 and 13 by means of a bolt connection. In the example, there is a tab 26 on the longitudinal beams 4 of the support frame 3 of the loading point 2 and on the longitudinal beams 13 of the belt deflection and belt tensioning device
angeordnet. Dazu wird zwischen den Laschen 26 und dem Traggerüst 3 eine Schraubverbindung mit Langlöchern vorgesehen, innerhalba fork-shaped tab 27 is arranged in each case, which laterally encloses the tab 26. In these tabs 26 and 27 there are aligned holes running horizontally and at right angles to the conveying direction for connection to one another by bolts 28 in a joint. The separate belt tensioning and belt deflection device is thus supported downwards by the support feet 15 and the bolts 28 and against the belt tensioning force by the bolts 28. The belt tensioning force is counteracted by the different belt tensile forces in the upper run 1a and the lower run 1b. Since the connection of the belt tensioning and belt deflection device to the feed station 2 is a joint, a moment arises as soon as the resultant of the different belt tensile forces no longer runs through the joint axis 29. This joint axis 29 is therefore placed so high that when the belt conveyor system is in operation the belt tensile forces in the upper and lower strands 1 a and 1 b cancel each other out as far as possible, thus avoiding both lifting and excessive pressure against the surface of the free end of the belt deflection and tensioning device. This point lies, in relation to the straight line of the upper strand 1a running against the direction of conveyance, between this and the parallel line running through the center line of the axis 18 of the deflection and tensioning drum 11. This dimension can be determined mathematically and is given as the dimension s based on the straight line running through the axis of the deflection and tensioning drum 11. Since the load on the belt system can change primarily due to the volume of material being conveyed but also due to other influencing factors, the value for the maximum load is included in the calculation formula for the height of the joint axis 29. This prevents the belt deflection and tensioning device from lifting. Increasing the ground pressure at the free end of the belt deflection and belt tensioning device at lower belt tensile forces is unproblematic in practice.
In order to be able to make a height correction of the bolt connection if necessary, the brackets 26 are arranged so that their height can be adjusted on the support frame 3 of the loading point 2. For this purpose, a screw connection with elongated holes is provided between the brackets 26 and the support frame 3, within
