Abstract
The floor-mounted signal surface with an afterglow, to illuminate an escape route to the emergency exit, has a holding profile (2) open on one side to take a strip (5) of afterglow material with a protective silicate cover (8) which can take walking on it. The strip is in two layers (10,11), bonded together over a reflection layer (7). The afterglow material is a dosed crystalline alkaline-earth aluminate.
