Abstract

A mono flip-flop is used for time control. Two reed relays are used for switching a light pilot indicator for audio and under recording, on and off. Upon detection of a light pulse, the 50Hz pilot frequency of the magnetic tape audio recorder is interrupted for a controllable interval for unambiguous identification or marking. This ensures an inaudible but visually clear indication for matching of sound and vision takes in a t.v. studio or similar. All components are housed in a pocket torch type housing and marking is possible, at any time without 'leads' or 'tails'. Sound and film equipment do not require any modifications.
