Indem die Anteile der einzelnen Polaritäten verändert werden (Pulsweitenmodulation) können stufenlos alle Mischfarbtöne der beiden Grundfaben erzeugt werden. Durch die Zuordnung der einzelnen Farbmischtöne zu best, Temperaturen kann ein Anzeigeinstrument geschaffen werden.
