Abstract

Plastics film web, esp. for wrapping purposes, which is adhesive on one side, is a composite film with at least 2 layers, one of polyolefin and the other of a copolymer contg. min. 25(28-45, esp.30)% vinyl acetate. The polyolefin layer pref. consists of high pressure polyethylene and contains a lubricant and antiblocking agent, pref. an oleamide. The thickness of the polyolefin film is 25-60(30 or 40) micron, whilst that of the copolymer layer is 15-30(20)% of this. The film is useful for packing goods on palettes. One side is permanently tacky, whilst the other is tack-free.

Damit die sich überlappenden Ränder der Kunststoffolienbahn aneinanderheften, ist es durch die DE-OS 28 21 733 bekannt, die Folienbahn aus einem Gemisch von Polyäthylen mit zwischen o,5 und 1o Gewichtsprozent Polyisobutylen herzustellen. Dieses Material hat die Eigenschaft, daß es etwas klebrig ist. Man erhält auf diese Weise eine Kunststoffolienbahn, die auf beiden Seiten leicht klebrig ist. Diese Klebrigkeit genügt jedoch nicht, um ein einwandfreies Haften der Bahnränder aneinander beim Verpacken zu gewährleisten. Durch den Zusatz von Vinylacetat kann die Klebrigkeit der Copolymerisat-Schicht beliebig variiert werden. Für den geplanten Zweck hat sich besonders ein Gehalt von 28 bis 45 % vorzugsweise von 3o % Vinylacetat erwiesen.
