Description
The invention relates generically to a Μ plant for the treatment of waste water by the activated sludge process, consisting of a driven as Peak pool aeration tank a first activation stage, into which the entire wastewater to be treated is introduced, from a device for intermediate clarification of a operated as light load pool aeration basin a second activation stage and from a secondary treatment plant, the device for intermediate clarification being designed as a separation plant for the biocenoses of the first and second activation basins and for this purpose the intermediate sewage sludge can only be returned to the first treatment stage and / or can be fed to sludge processing, while the clarified liquid from the device for intermediate clarification can be introduced into the activation tank of the second activation stage, the secondary sludge from the secondary treatment plant only being able to be returned to the second operating stage and / or to the sludge processing ar is and furthermore the aeration tank of the second aeration stage is aerated with ambient air with an oxygen content of the wastewater of 0.5 to 3.0 mg / 1 or with a sludge load Ä, s £ 1.0 kg BODykg TS ■ d for oxygen gassing In the latter case, the maximum load basin of the first activation stage with regard to the partial degradation of the poorly degradable carbon compounds and the organic degradable compounds on the one hand and the oxygen activation basin of the second activation stage with regard to the ammonia formed on the other hand are designed in such a way that the ammonia neutralizes the excess carbonic acid produced in the oxygen activation basin as largely as possible. - In the context of the invention, the term activated sludge tank also includes units made up of several individual tanks which are functionally combined. The term wastewater is to be understood in the broadest sense. In general, it is an aqueous system in which organic substances - even in the presence of dissolved or suspended substances - are dispersed. The particles of the dispersed phase can be dissolved, emulsified, in colloidal and / or suspended form. They can be deductible or non-deductible, putrefactive or unfit for putrefaction. If necessary, the wastewater to be treated is subjected to a rough mechanical pre-treatment.
Über die Einrichtung zur Zwischenklärung wird sovielIn the known generic method (earlier application in accordance with DE-AS 2803 759), ventilation with atmospheric air and operation with aerobic microorganisms takes place in the first activation stage. The oxygen requirement is above 0.10 kg O / kg BOD r degradation. With the usual biodegradable industrial and domestic wastewater, good results are obtained in terms of degradation performance, early nitrification, sludge activity and energy expenditure in the oxygen gasification stage, with a considerable elimination of carbon compounds, in particular the poorly degradable carbon compounds, practically all roughly in the aeration tank of the first aeration stage disperse substances and colloids and almost all high-molecular compounds take place and disruptive nitrogen compounds are also eliminated. The energy requirement in the first activation stage is corresponding. As a result, the wastewater to be treated in the activation tank of the first activation stage is changed in such a way that more active activated sludge, more uniform loading conditions, more stable degradation conditions and better drainage qualities are achieved in the oxygen activation tank. The situation with regard to the first activation stage is similar in the process from which the generic method is based (DE-OS 2640875), in which not only the activation tank of the first activation stage, but also that of the second activation stage is a tank with classic ventilation with atmospheric air . Here the basin of the first activation cycle is operated with a volume load B R of about 10 kg BOD 5 Zm 1 - rf and with a sludge load 5 "of at least 2 kg BODykg TS ■ (/. So much is done about the device for intermediate clarification
The aeration basin of the second stage is with a comparatively low volume loading and operated with a comparatively low level of mud cover. In the second stage, the mud reaches a great age here. Since its degree of nutrition is proportionate is low, substances which are difficult to break down and which have not been retained in the first stage become in this second stage attacked and largely dismantled
The invention is based on the object of developing a generic system so that the Degradation of poorly degradable substances is improved, with a lower oxygen and thus energy requirement not only in the first stage of activation.
To achieve this object, the invention teaches that the aeration tank of the first activation stage for operation with facultative anaerobic microorganisms on substrate-bound · 1 phosphorylation are of oxidative or onto incomplete oxidation changeable, kg at a specific oxygen demand of S 0.10 O 2 / kg BOD 5 degradation and a power density of 20 to 25 watts / m 1 , and that the oxygen content in the aeration tank is in a range in which facultative anaerobic microorganisms work with substrate-bound phosphorylation, obligatory anaerobic microorganisms practically cannot thrive and aerobic substrate respiration practically does not occur.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the oxygen content in the activation tank is the first stage almost zero.
Basically it is known (DE-OS 2454426) a so-called facultative zone in an aeration tank to realize. Denitrification is expected in this zone. Let the known measures however, do not assume that in the generic system by the operation of the activated sludge tank first activation stage with optional anaerobic microorganisms a very effective breakdown of the organic degradable and also the poorly degradable substances in the sense of a cracking with little energy consumption takes place in such a way that it also improves the degradation performance in the second activation stage. The expression Phosphorylation refers to the fact that phosphorus is introduced into organic compounds. In particular, this involves the transition from adenosine 5'-diphosphate to adenosine 5'-triphosphate (cf. Römpps Chemie-Lexikon, 1974, 2655). Oxygen gassing means the supply of oxygen or oxygen-enriched air, mostly at least Contains 50 percent oxygen by volume. In the formulations "practically absent" is expressed that the corresponding microbiological or microorganismic processes for the cleaning process or Degradation process are suppressed to such an extent that they hardly contribute measurably to the desired result. In the inventive Plant depends on the oxygen content in the aeration tank of the first stage - in the context of the above microbiologically specified limits - according to the specific cleaning task and its operating conditions.
In the context of the invention, the poorly degradable substances are broken down or eliminated afterwards as before with the participation of the aeration basin of the two (, 5 th activation stage, however, this reduction in the first activation stage is essentially due to the facultative anaerobic microorganisms with substrate-bound phosphorylation or with an incomplete Oxidation work, prepared, by a split the organically degradable and also the poorly degradable substances in terms of cracking.
In detail, the microbiological and microorganismic processes in the known gat according to the system on the one hand, the system according to the invention on the other hand to record the following:

Es ist einerseitsIn the system according to the invention, the optionally anaerobic activated aeration tank represents the first activation stage also represents a highly polluted activation level, but the microorganisms are forced to to switch from oxidative to substrate-bound phosphorylation or to incomplete combustion. These are the same microorganisms that are also active in the known system described above are. While in oxidative phosphorylation by the microorganisms with one mole of glucose 38 ATP Energy units are created, the same living beings can mainly do so if the oxygen content is insufficient work after the substrate-bound phosphorylation and gain in this extensive degradation process only 2 ATP energy units or z. T. after the imperfect oxidation with an energy gain of 118 kcal, which corresponds to an energy yield that is 6 times greater than in a fermentation process. It will ever ferment Mole of glucose gained only 1/19 of the otherwise available energy. This is because in this degradation process the existing organic substances are usually only broken down once by living beings can. A further split into a low-energy connection is usually not possible because the the hydrogen released during the fission after releasing its energy charge to build up ATP to the fissioned organic fragments accumulated. As a rule, these particles, once split, are caused by H-attachment blocked against further split. Overall, the substrate-bound phosphorylation represents Due to the lack of other H acceptors, an extraordinarily poor utilization of the ones offered Food provided by living beings. Surprisingly, however, brings the facultative anaerobic mode of operation regarding more extensive wastewater treatment and the greatest possible splitting of those that are difficult to break down organic compounds a significant improvement, since they are used to support life and multiply Micro-organisms with poor energy utilization of around 5% attacked all vulnerable material will. Compared to this ineffective, facultative anaerobic degradation process according to the invention, an obligatory one brings anaerobic degradation process a much better energy yield. The obligatory anaerobes, for the oxygen is a poison, 90% of the available food can be used. However, the time factor is unfavorable and makes a working method with obligatory anaerobic microorganisms unusable for modern systems. According to the invention the optional anaerobic degradation process is deliberately promoted. It is on the one hand
genügend Sauerstoff vorhanden, so daß Aerobier bzw. fakultativ Anaerobier aber keine obligat Anaerobier gedeihen können, there is enough oxygen available so that aerobes or facultative anaerobes are not obligatory Anaerobes can thrive,

ϊ< The substrate respiration d ■ B ' R and the endogenous respiration e ■ TS R are thus constantly represented side by side. Endogenous respiration e ■ TS R (also known as basic respiration) is necessary so that the microorganisms can live in a “resting position”. They are unable to grow or reproduce. But for sure they will \. (the aerobes) live on. They can even continue to multiply and grow themselves if they gain further energy from the substrate-bound phosphorylation. According to the invention, enough oxygen is introduced into the activation tank of the first activation stage that basic breathing is ensured for the microorganisms contained in 1-2 kg TS 11 Zm '. >} A noticeable development of the anaerobes and, as a result, a putrefaction process are prevented. That still ',. The available food supply can be used without interference via the substrate-bound phosphorylation for the growth of the cell and for the multiplication of the aerobes or the;:, facultative anaerobes. ϊ <
Tests carried out have shown that the supply: - are growth rates in the first aeration tank of the inventive considerable. Corresponding to the oxygen introduced, not only is part of the easily degradable organic substance attacked, rather the poorly degradable organic compounds are also attacked. This can be demonstrated by the BOD / CSB ratio, since this ratio remains the same or becomes greater when a system according to the invention is in operation, while it becomes smaller after an aerobic activation stage.

Zur Anlage gehörenDespite the very high oxygen demand chosen for compared to the known aerobic design of the first activation stage, endogenous breathing results in a clearly separated power density of only 22 watts / m '. The single figure shows schematically one according to the invention System. The system shown is for the treatment of wastewater according to the activated sludge process certainly. Belong to the plant
ein Belebungsbecken 1 für eine erste Belebungsstufe I, an aeration tank 1 for a first aeration stage I,
eine Nachkläranlage 4.a facility 2 for intermediate clarification,
an aeration tank 3 for a second aeration stage II and
a secondary treatment plant 4.
All of the wastewater to be treated is in the activated sludge tank 1 designed as a maximum load tank first activation level I can be introduced. The facility 2 of the intermediate clarification is as a separation facility of the biocenoses of the first activation level I and the second activation level II 5 educated. This includes that your intermediate sewage sludge can only be returned to the first activation stage and / or a sludge processing 5 can be fed. The secondary sludge from secondary treatment plant 4 is only in the second activation stage can be returned or fed to the sludge processing unit 5. In the already explained The high-load basin 1 is designed for operation with predominantly facultative anaerobic microorganisms set up, which can be switched from oxidative to substrate-bound phosphorylation or after incomplete Oxidation work. The oxygen input in this aeration tank 1 is in an area at which the facultative anaerobic microorganisms with substrate-bound phosphorylation work, obligatory anaerobic microorganisms can practically not thrive and aerobic substrate respiration practically does not occur. Of course, in the first stage there is also an adsorptive, automatically filtering and coagulating removal of substances that are difficult to break down. The aeration tank 3 for the second aeration stage II is for one Oxygen gassing set up.
The wastewater is via the inlet 6 by means of a pump 7 via a line 8 to a device 9 for desanding or and coarse desludging supplied. After the disruptive ingredients such as sand, fibers have been separated off and the like, but possibly also the coarse settling substances, the wastewater enters the Maximum glass basin 1 of the first activation stage I. The treated medium then enters the line 11 Facility 2 for interim clarification. The clarified phase is transferred to the activated sludge tank 3 via line 12 the second activation stage II supplied, which operated in the specified manner as a low-load stage and with Oxygen is fumigated. From the device 2 for intermediate clarification, a sludge is withdrawn, which via a Line 13 and a pump 14 can be fed to the lines 15 and 16. The line 15 is used to return sludge returned to the system of the first stage, while line 16 has the task of Discharge excess sludge from the system, e.g. via a thickener into a sludge digester. That the same happens with the coarse sludge that is drawn off via line 17. After completing the biological Degradation in the second activation stage II, the aqueous phase enters a secondary treatment plant 4, from the sludge is withdrawn via a line 18 and a pump 19. This sludge can via a line 20 in the form of Return sludge can be fed back into the system of the second activated sludge stage II or it is via the line 21 derived from the system as excess sludge. Via a line 22, a pump 23 and a Line 24, if necessary, the clarified aqueous phase is fed to a quick filter 25, from which the clarified water is fed via the overflow line 26 to a receiving water. From the quick filter 25 backwash water is on the Line 27 is fed back to the system of the second stage.
