PATENTSCHRIFTPATENT LETTERING

KLASSE 37: Hochbauwesen.CLASS 37: Building construction.

Zusatz-Patent zu No. 21510 vom 31. August 1882.Patent addition to No. 21510 of August 31, 1882.

Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 8. Februar 1884 ab. Längste Dauer: 30. August 1897.Patented in the German Empire on February 8, 1884. Longest duration: August 30, 1897.

It has been found in practice that z. B. Dome roofs of great span Difficult to make from one piece of corrugated sheet metal with tapered corrugations or from have panels of such sheet metal riveted together, and it is therefore the arrangement described below has been made, which enables that in the main patent The principle described can also be applied to domed roofs with a large span. It is based this construction on using a number of support rings, depending on the size of the dome, which serve as supports for the riveted cambered corrugated sheets with tapered corrugations.

In the drawing, such a domed roof with a diameter of approx. 40 m is shown, and for a building with a circular base, and shows:

Fig. ι einen Verticalschnitt der Kuppel;Fig. Ι a vertical section of the dome;

Fig. 2 die Oberansicht derselben, theils mit, theils ohne Wellblechbedeckung;2 shows the top view of the same, partly with and partly without corrugated iron cover;

Fig. 3 den sogenannten Laternenring im Verticalschnitt im Detail;3 shows the so-called lantern ring in vertical section in detail;

Fig. 4 einen Zwischenauflagerungsring im Detail;4 shows an intermediate support ring in detail;

Fig. S the closing ring together with the method of fastening on the surrounding wall.

As already described in the main patent, the individual corrugated sheets are tapered Shafts and are suitably connected by rivets or screws; furthermore are it is cambered to match the shape of the dome roof.

Since the tension of the sheet metal in such domed roofs with several support rings is greatest in the uppermost part and manifests itself as retroactive strength in the direction of the corrugated body and as relative strength, the upper part in particular must be sufficiently strong. The lantern ring A, Figs. 1 and 3, is bent from U-iron and riveted together with an angle iron ring B , which partly contributes to its reinforcement, but partly serves to fasten the side walls C of the lantern itself.

The intermediate support rings are made from two angle iron rings DE, Fig. 4, riveted together or, as a replacement, from a suitable T-iron.

The lowest or Schlufsring of the roof consists of angle iron and rests on a number of cast iron abutments C, Fig. 5, which are fastened by anchors on the crown of the surrounding wall.

Dies mufs jedoch auf solcheThe individual corrugated sheets are riveted or screwed to the lantern ring A and also to the intermediate or support ring that follows, as shown in FIGS. 1, 2, 3 and 4. However, this must apply to such

It happens that one of the corrugated sheet metal supports, in the manner of roof tiles, is the initially covers the following by something, which, as shown in Fig. 4, is achieved by that the plate or table further to the center of the dome is on the upper side of the intermediate ring is riveted or otherwise attached, while the following plate is also attached to the lower side of the intermediate ring described.

As can be seen, the tapered waves of the corrugated sheet metal run continuously from one Support to the other, d. H. from the lantern ring to the next support or Support ring, of then on until finally the Schlufsring. In all cases, the corrugations of the metal sheets are supported tapered to support.
