Abstract

A plant for the recovery of farmyard manure gas consists of a main and a secondary fermentation tank, both not heated and covered by a floating layer. Both the main tank which has a fixed gas tarpaulin dome, and the secondary tank which has a floating dome, have a gas extraction hoses leading to a gas filter. This plant operates automatically and is self-adjusting. Air bubbles cannot enter through the floating layer into the gas space to cause explosions. The manure is introduced warm directly from the stable, thus no heating is required.
