Abstract
Description
Selbstfahrende ErntemaschineSelf-propelled harvester
The invention relates to a method and a device for setting the cutting height of the lower floor knife separating the sugar cane from the ground and / or the upper topper knife of self-propelled cane separating the heads of the sugar cane from the cane Sugar cane harvesters.
In practice, the sugar cane harvesters in use today Cut the sugar cane just above the ground with floor knives. One is there tries to keep the stubble height as short as possible, in order to be able to achieve optimal yields. Since the soil is always uneven, the driver of the sugar cane harvester must determine the height of the lower ground knife Readjust manually in order to achieve a roughly even stubble height. Simultaneously but it is also necessary to separate the heads of the individual sugar cane ends from the stalk, because these heads are not suitable for further processing. This also happens with rotating topper knives, the same in height as the lower floor knives are adjustable so as not to cut off more than is absolutely necessary. the The height adjustment of this upper topper knife is also done manually. Because the driver must operate the entire machine in addition to adjusting the height of the two knives, it becomes clear that the driver of a sugar cane harvester is hardly able the altitude of both the lower floor knives and the upper topper knives to be adhered to optimally, so that either driving is always at a loss or else Head parts remain on the cane, which is what happens when the sugar cane is further processed has a very unfavorable effect.
The present invention is therefore based on the problem of a method and to create a harvesting machine of the type specified in the introduction, the one Independent height adjustment of both the lower and the upper knives is permitted.
This is achieved by the fact that the sugar cane standing in the field Scanned without contact, the received signals evaluated and the evaluated ones Signals are used for the purpose of automatic height adjustment of the knife. For the purpose of Carrying out this vedging is done with the sugar cane harvester Stepping or on the ground directed impulses emitting transmitter, one of the the stubble or the ground-reflected impulses receiving receivers as well as a the comparator determining the pulse propagation time is arranged. The one from the comparator Determined values act by means known per se, such as regulators and solenoid valves on the height adjustment cylinder for the knives.
Another way to adjust the height of the lower floor knives is that with the sugar cane harvester a headlight with direction connected to the cut stubble, to which one the reflected rays receiving photocell grid is assigned, while the work of the harvesting machine vertical extension of the grid image in the photocell grid is a measure for the height adjustment the lower knife forms by means known per se. For the purpose of setting the According to a further feature of the invention, the topper knife is associated with the harvesting machine a pair of ultrasonic transmitters aimed at the topper area, with the reflected pulses are picked up by a receiver and the receiver a is the running time of the impulses that hit the head area and a is the running time of the impulses, which are aimed at the hard sugar cane, assigned the determining control unit where the comparison of the respective refraction components is a measure of the height setting of the top topper knives.
Alternatively, the top topper knives can be fitted with a headlight as well as an optical probe head, the latter by color filtering recorded the yellow usable stem area and-the so obtained Signals by means known per se to the height adjustment cylinder for the topper knife act.
In the following, the invention will be based on an exemplary embodiment and a single figure that shows this schematically will be explained in more detail.
To adjust the floor knife 1, an ultrasonic transmitter 2 is provided, furthermore a receiver 3 also pointing to the ground, the transmitter 2 in on is known to emit short pulses in a periodic sequence and the receiver 3 picks up the reflection of the pulses from the floor 4, and also in a not shown Comparator the running time of the pulses is determined.
By determining the pulse transit time envelope - also with itself known means - results as a measure of the current cutting height of the distance Transmitter 2 - ground. Here, the transmitter 2 can be directed obliquely forward and downward, so that it scans the floor 4 almost below the rotating knife 1.
The signal processing and height adjustment of the cutting unit take place in in a known manner by means of a controller, solenoid valve and cutting unit lift cylinder 6. Instead of the ground 4, the transmitter 2 can of course also be directed at the stubble 5 be.
Except for the way of setting the floor knife shown here these can also be set using an optical stubble height measuring process. A spotlight is then used to determine the effective stubble height without contact and an optical imaging system arranged on the harvesting machine, the under the rotating cutting knife 1 from behind by illuminating them in a relative The stubble that becomes visible in the narrow area is mapped onto a photocell grid be that-a resolution has e.g. about 100 pixels with 7-10 lines. At the Driving at normal working speed results from moving the illuminated Stubble on the imaging grid a so-called flicker, whereby the vertical Extension of the flicker area a measure of the stubble height is and very lively voltage fluctuations in the photodiodes or transistors involved trigger, while above and below only much weaker changes occur. By known measurement and control processing of these pulse and alternating voltages a regulation to a sufficiently constant stubble height can be achieved in this way. It has been found in practice that it is advantageous if the headlight beam as well as the beam path of the transducer are at a certain angle to each other, E.g. the headlights shine from the rear left to the center forwards and thus the stubble height there more clearly than in front of and behind it, while the sensor is on aligned with the irradiated central area and arranged to the right behind this is.
An ultrasonic transmitter is used to set the topper knife 9 and- Receiver 7 existing measuring head provided, which is slightly laterally below the Topper frame 8 arranged and directed towards the center of the section to be cut is. Here, pulse-shaped transmitter signals are used and the transit time of the reflected Signal component determined. Only the signal component is evaluated, that of sugar cane parts comes just before the topper 9. From the characteristics of the sugar cane is used here, that the mature stalk parts 10 are relatively hard and suitable for the reflection of ultrasound have sufficient surface, while the tips of the leaves 11 the impinging Swallow the ultrasound portion. By means of regulatory measures known per se it is now achievable that the topper is always raised so high that the reflection component of the radiated ultrasound part against the part in front of the fully ripe stalk parts 10 decreases. The more or less strongly changing population density is through this Control technology common means (integration and damping) can be compensated.
Not shown, but also for contact-free scanning the transition zone between the ripe (yellow) stem part and the still green On the other hand, points and leaves can also be provided by optical means aiming at the upper stem area, e.g. with a headlight beam on the stalk area of interest as well as an optical probe head, which in a simplest Execution probably only requires color filtering, by means of which in the illuminated Search area the usable stalk height is recorded. Provided the stem and leaf parts stand out less sharply from one another, it can be advantageous to use an optical Use mapping method similar to that used for setting the floor knife is described, in which a photocell grid is provided. Is done by means of color component filtering the yellow stalk portion is shown on this row and row field, while the Green head and leaf parts only express themselves as "shadows", this is the result of harvesting of a stock as a result of the constant emergence of new stems for their yellow ones Share a so-called flicker image, above which a less flickering shadow image. Now it is possible again with known means of signal processing and regulation the topper knife are guided so that it is always straight in the transition zone between The stem and head of the sugar cane works.
