Description
The invention relates to a sprayable composition for inorganic fibers and binders containing Sound, heat and fire insulation, such as those used for the insulation of steel components and other construction elements are used.
Such insulating compounds are introduced into a spraying device as a dry mixture and after emerging from the spray nozzle moistened with a water mist, so that a moist mass forms, which is sprayed onto the surface to be protected. Despite the water mist, the known insulating compounds do not completely prevent the formation of congestion.
The object of the invention is to create an insulating compound by adding oil that can be removed without the formation of congestion can be processed.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the insulating compound is based on about 5-20% by weight of oil based on the weight of the binder. To achieve a good dust binding, recommends it is the crushed and loosened inorganic fibers before mixing with the binders to be moistened with 10 to 20% of the total amount of oil to be added and the rest of the oil addition only when Mix with the binders to add to the mass. So that no Form lumps, the oil to be added to the mass becomes the inorganic fibers and binders in added in a finely atomized state. Tests have shown that thin and odorless or Low-odor mineral oils are particularly suitable as oil additives.
Hydraulically acting binders, z. B. Portland cement, high alumina cement, slag cement etc. and also chemical binders, such as phosphate binders, alkali metals and other suitable metal compounds can be used.
The amount of oil to be added depends on the composition of the binders which are in turn dependent on whether the insulating material to be used as sound insulation or as heat or Feuerschutzisolie- 1 (1 tion.

In the aforementioned mixtures, the inorganic fibers, e.g. B. rock wool, first on 3 to 30 mm length chopped up and loosened. At the same time, the inorganic fibers with about 10 Moistened up to 20% of the total amount of oil to be added. The oil comes in a finely atomized state sprayed the inorganic fibers that are in a mixer. Then the Binder filled into the mixer and with the gradual addition of the remaining oil with the inorganic fibers mixed. The amount of oil to be added depends on the one used bo binders dependent. For example, binders with a high alumina content require more oil to be added will. The insulating compound produced in this way is, when spraying with a compressed air spraying machine, whose mouthpiece is provided with a wetting device, completely dust-free.
