Die vorliegenden Neuerungen betreffen eine Einrichtung an Taschenmessern zum Feststellen der Klinge im geöffneten und geschlossenen Zustande. Dieselbe unterscheidet sich von den bisher bekannt gewordenen ähnlichen Einrichtungen darin wesentlich, dafs der zur Feststellung der Klinge dienende Stift nebst Feder nicht mittelst des aufsen am Griff angeordneten und den Gebrauch des Messers störenden Ringes, sondern durch einfaches Niederdrücken einer Backe bewegt wird, wie aus folgendem näher hervorgeht.The present innovations relate to a device on pocket knives for locking of the blade in the open and closed state. . Wie bereits eingangs angedeutet; ist dieses Feststellen der Klinge mittelst Stifte, welche - durch Seitenfedern angedrückt werden, schon seit langem allgemein bekannt. Neu ist aber die eigenthümliche Art, durch blofses Niederdrücken einer Backe die Seitenfeder d² zu handhaben, um die Klinge zu lösen. Zu diesem Zwecke haben wir die den Stift d¹ tragende hohle Backe d mittelst der in ihr angeordneten Feder d² ,mit dem ErI u derart verbunden und ihr einen solchen Querschnitt gegeben, dafs ihr nach innen liegendes Ende sich in seitliche Aussparungen u² des ErIs eindrücken läfst, wobei die Backe um die von den Aussparungen gebildeten Kanten u^x schwingt, Fig. 4, und Stift d' aus dem Klingenloch so weit heraustritt, dafs ein Oeffhen der Klinge stattfinden kann. Im vorliegenden Fall wird die geschlossene Klinge durch eine Feder c, welche für gewöhnlich mit dem Rücken des Messers glatt abschliefst, automatisch herausgeschnellt, die Klinge kann dann mit der Hand völlig geöffnet werden.
