Abstract
Description
Sorptionswabenkörper aus Keramik für Stoffaustausch in GasgemischCeramic sorption honeycomb body for mass transfer in a gas mixture
The present invention relates to a honeycomb body made of finely porous Ceramic that is made up of or coated with sorption-active material, especially for gas drying.
Sorption beds for mass transfer in gas mixtures are marked by a large wettable surface, with the largest possible free cross-sectional area for a low pressure loss of the gas flow with flow channels running as straight as possible is required.
These conditions are inherited from the well-known “Munters - Sorptinsrad "(cf. German Pat. No. 1141 430 and 1139 966). It is known that film containing asbestos fibers is alternately used in this process corrugated and smooth, spiral-wound in layers, and the resulting block with lithium chloride as a sorbent soaked. A serious disadvantage here, however, is the lack of strength and dimensional stability of the carrier material, especially in the case of extreme conditions such as high temperature, high humidity and mechanical stress. Next to it is the capillary suction effect of the asbestos fiber wheel very different across the surface and generally not particularly good, which means that in some places the sorbent material is only deposited very thinly on the surface and accordingly sweats out quickly and becomes inactive. If too big With absorption of substances, the absorber material goes into solution and the liquid solution weeps out. In addition, the Carrier film is soft and can lose its shape, which means destruction of the absorber block. The front surfaces of the absorption body are covered by abrasive seals. Because of the With a low mechanical strength, foreign bodies can easily destroy the end face.

The invention was now based on the object of providing a sorption body to create, which combines the advantages of a large surface and large free cross-sectional area with straight flow channels with large mechanical strength and high temperature resistance, as well as a uniform, very high capillary suction effect for liquids.
This object is characterized by that in the claims Invention solved.
The sorption body T according to the invention is made from a ceramic mass Manufactured with a precisely defined grain size in the casting or extrusion process. The uniform grain size (Fig. 1) results in the carrier material a regular capillarity A, which results in a high suction effect on the impregnation solution in the case of fine-pored material. Through this a large amount of absorption-active material, e.g. LiCl solution, can be soaked into the carrier material without the case crying of the absorbent material going into solution because the liquid is still bound to the carrier material by capillary forces. This makes it possible to make an essential to store larger amount of absorption material per unit of space or carrier mass unit, whereby the specific absorption capacity is considerably increased. The ceramic mass itself is after When burning, it is very stable against mechanical loads and the effects of heat and absolutely dimensionally stable even in liquids or very moist gases.
The sorption body T constructed as described above is suitable now for use in a continuous process. Here, the sorption body is made up of many individual components (Fig 5) designed as a circular disc of any thickness (Fig 5) or ring disc, the axially parallel of narrow, through the ceramic mass separated, rectilinear canals is traversed.

The end faces B of this circular disk are made of sheet metal housing R. divided into sectors N (Fig. 6), through which on the one hand the gas flow 0 to be dried and on the other hand the one to reactivate the sorption bed gas streams P guided in countercurrent through the disk are separated from one another. Inside the sorption body is the Separation of the two gas flows through the ceramic mass M of the individual channels K is given. The seal is made at the end faces by a rubbing or rolling, temperature-resistant seal S made of a smooth, sliding material. The gas collection chamber R is now set in rotation relative to the ceramic disk T, so that a part of the sorption bed is continuously reactivated while the other constantly shifting sector N is available for absorbing vapors for absorbing vapors.
The ceramic disc (Fig 5) itself is composed depending on the size from more or less many identical individual components (Fig. 2.). With this structure made up of many individual components (Fig. 2), you can Manufacture any disc diameter with a single, easy-to-use extrusion mold due to its small size. In the event of extrusion, the cross-sectional dimensions of the individual building block (Fig. 2) are limited to approx. 80 χ 80 mm, the length in the direction however, the tubule is arbitrary. From the arbitrarily possible cross-sectional shapes, the square shape has proven to be the most favorable.
Die für diverseThe steps described below are used to manufacture the panes according to (Fig. 5). First, the endless extruded blank (Fig. 1) is cut to the intended disc thickness L and pre-fired up to approx. 1000 ° C. for solidification. The side surfaces C are then ground flat; A larger square block (Fig. 3) is formed from several of these building blocks by slipping, ie moistening and pressing against one another, which is fired at approx. 1,300 ° C to form a firmly connected block building block. The one for various

Disc diameter required edge segments (Fig 4 + 5) are also from individual building blocks (Fig. 2) initially put together by slipping to form a polygonal building block (see Fig. 5) and then fired. These polygonal blocks are then milled round on the future outer side of the pane E according to the pane radius. Now both the square blocks (Fig. 3) and the circle segments (Fig 4) on all side surfaces D + E (but not a semicircular groove F approx. 2.5 mm deep is milled in each of the two end faces B) approx. 20 mm away from the two end faces.
When putting together many blocks to form a circular disc then face each other two semicircular grooves F of the adjacent blocks and form a round tube. In this forming Before assembling the tube, a round ceramic rod G, with a slight Oversize compared to the tube diameter.
Two stainless steel round wires are placed around the round outer surfaces E of the disk J tensioned, which are also guided in the two grooves F. In this way, the individual blocks are positively locked held exactly in their position by means of groove F and spring principle G as well as by frictional connection by means of bracing, the clamping device H is designed to be self-tensioning by means of cup springs I.
After the completion of the disc we match it with the one for the one to be absorbed Gas required sorbent solution (for water vapor e.g. LiCl) soaked. The solvent is then subjected to heat treatment evaporates, so that only the sorption-active salt remains in the ceramic capillaries A.
Durch das geringe Gewicht des einzelnen Blockes (Abb 3+4) werden bei der Bearbeitung keine Hebevorrichtungen benötigt und es könnnenDue to the low weight of the individual block (Fig. 3 + 4), no lifting devices are required and can be used for processing

Außerdem werden Wärmespannungen über die gesamte Scheibe vermieden, wenn, wie meist nötig, zwischen Prozeßgas und Reaktionsgas (Abb 6) hohe Temperaturunterschiede bestehen.for firing, surface grinding, soaking and drying the normal facilities of a ceramic processing company are used. In the case of large units (Fig 5), in the event of a partial damage, the damaged block (Fig. 3 + 4) can be replaced with little effort. There are also thermal stresses Avoided over the entire disk if, as is usually necessary, high temperature differences between process gas and reaction gas (Fig. 6) exist.
The shape of the axially parallel channels K and the thickness of the partition walls M between the individual channels K can be freely selected as required by the manufacturing process. This is important for customization the sorption body to specific absorption processes. If large amounts of heat are released during absorption, a large ceramic mass is i.e. thick partition walls M, advantageous as heat storage, because the temperature of the sorption bed rises only slowly as a result and so that the activity of the absorbent remains large for a long time. The disadvantage of the greater heat requirement during the reactivation process can be largely compensated by heat equalization sectors U in front of and behind the reactivation sector. In the event of of small, increasing amounts of absorption heat, be it through low specific absorption heat of the steam or through small specific amounts of steam to be absorbed, a smaller ceramic mass is advantageous, i.e. thin partitions M, since then the reactivation gets by with lower amounts of heat.
The cross-sectional area of the small channels K is of the order of 2x2 mm; thus the flow is in the range of the flow pressure losses acceptable gas velocities laminar. This results in a favorable pressure loss coefficient from the roughness of the canal is independent and changes in direct proportion to the flow velocity. The mass transfer, however, takes place due to the high partial vapor pressure differences between gas and absorbent according to the conditions of a turbulent flow.
In the following drawings, the various stages of execution of the sorption body are shown.
