Abstract

Book block comprises pages stitched with thread and a protective sheet which covers the spine and the thread sections outside the outermost pages and which is attached to both sides of the block in such a way that it cannot be removed without trace. Pref. the pages are stitched between two strips at least one of which bears pins passing through first perforations in the pages and attached to the other strip. The pages are also stitched with a thread which passes through second perforations close to and aligned with the first perforations. Protective sheet may also be attached to the strips with glue.
