Description
The invention relates to a loudspeaker box for hi-fi systems with at least one bass and one Mid-high range loudspeaker with the features listed in the preamble of claim 1.
Loudspeaker boxes are commercially available for both mono and stereo systems, which are separate from the receiving device should be arranged to z. B. to make the stereo effect audible at all with stereo reception. In such loudspeaker boxes, it is customary to arrange at least one bass speaker, as the The vast majority of listeners prefer to hear deep tones. But at least to some extent In addition to the actual bass loudspeaker, these types of loudspeaker boxes ensure a balanced sound image so-called mid-high to 1 loudspeakers arranged, which should then cover the rest of the frequency range up to about 12,000 Hz. As a medium high-lone loudspeaker are difficult to build, this sound frequency range is subdivided again many times, so that a good loudspeaker box for hi-fi systems has at least three loudspeakers each, and a so-called bass loudspeaker for the lower sound frequencies, starting around 10 or 15 Hz and mostly ending at around 260 Hz, although bass speakers have also become known that are also used in in the frequency range up to around 500 Hz, while the mid-range speakers are then preferably in the Radiate sound frequency range from about 250 to 9000 Hz and the actual tweeters or else Tweeter the upper sound frequency range, namely from about 8000 to 16,000 Hz, blast preferentially.
The sound of living rooms with such loudspeaker boxes has some inconveniences led, as the normal living rooms for the emission of lower frequencies in terms of their dimensions are too small and thus resonances can occur in the entire emitted bass range, which leads to resonance peaks and so-called frequency holes can then result within the room. the The result is a so-called "bass labyrinth" and the transparency of the bass sound image is completely lost. While the listener can still avoid the frequency holes by changing his position, so are the excess resonance in the case of low notes is particularly unpleasant and is particularly noticeable in apartment buildings felt quite annoying in the neighborhood.
The reflection of the heights in such a small living space can be caused by heavy curtain fabrics can be eliminated, while the so-called "bass labyrinth" can be eliminated without major structural changes is hardly possible.
The invention provides a remedy here. The object of the invention was to create the so-called bass sound image in to improve such living spaces. To solve this problem, the initially mentioned type according to the invention taken measures in the characterizing part of the Claim 1 are specified in detail.
Provided that two loudspeaker boxes of a ΗίΠ system are operated together and provided also that the two loudspeaker boxes are connected in phase, so should after the Invention of the bass loudspeaker of a loudspeaker box have a switch so that only the connections of the bass speaker are swapped. Then he gets a bass speaker across the street the other a low-frequency signal phase-shifted by 180 °, the two bass speaker cones then vibrate against each other, the room resonance points are triggered in opposite phase and therefore the air column can no longer build up, the The above-mentioned "bass labyrinth" disappears and the sound impression is significantly improved. Through this, The fact that the room resonances in the bass range are now largely ineffective is what makes the bass reproduction much more transparent. Measured values have shown that the measured bass volume at a certain Place in a certain room is only insignificant, namely by approx. 3 dB. decreased, but the sound image was vastly improved. The stereo impression changes as a result of those specified by the invention Measures not.
