Abstract

The design is for metal pipes used in sanitary and heating installations. The advantages claimed are that the connection can be used for all sizes of pipes and for all the usual fluids. Installation is simple and cheap. The pipe (5) fits into a conventional muff or collar fitting (4). On the pipe there are three rings. The first is a flat rubber sealing ring (1). The second (2) is a holding ring V cross section and external anchor hooks. The third (3) is a pressure ring with wedge shaped cross section. This is forced into the V cross section of the holding ring and the inner surface of the latter presses against the rubber seal as the connection is made.
