Von den beiden Teilen α und b des Fischbandes wird der Teil α in geeigneter Weise fest mit dem Bolzen c verbunden. Der Teil b trägt innen mittels Gewinde e eine mit Handhabe g versehene Hülse d, welche mehrfach geschlitzt und somit als Klemmhülse ausgebildet ist. Diese Hülse besitzt unten einen Konus h, welcher auf einen entsprechend konisch ausgebildeten Sitz in der Hülse f des Teiles b paßt. Schraubt man daher die Klemmhülse d in den Bandteil b hinein, so wird sich der Konus h zusammenpressen und den Bolzen c fest umfassen. Hierdurch wird eine starre Verbindung zwischen den Bandteilen α und b erreicht; das Scharnier ist festgestellt. Will man das Fischband wieder öffnen, so dreht man nur die Klemmhülse d ein wenig zurück, so daß sie den Teil b zur Drehung freigibt.
