Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a holder for catheters.
So far, catheters have been used, especially for nephrostomy in urology, using a leukoplast or another adhesive plaster on the patient's skin in the area of the wound opening attached. This type of attachment was generally not comfortable for the patient because it caused distortions on the skin when the patient moved, which often resulted in painful sensations. In the course of over the years, especially in sensitive patients, Skin damage. Another disadvantage of the conventional type of fastening is the risk that the catheter, in particular in the case of more or less violent movements of the patient, unfavorable due to external pull on the catheter in its correct position is changed and shifted, which is due in particular to it is that the catheter is attached to the patient's skin by means of a plaster, with the skin already showing its elasticity yields to a considerable extent to tensile loads. Since most of the patients are elderly acts, this resilience is particularly great because

kanntlich die Haut mit zunehmendem Alter· erschlafft. It is well known that the skin relaxes with increasing age.
It is also a disadvantage that in the previous fastening method the catheter is only insufficiently hygienic. This has to do with the fact that the patient is when washing, as long as the patch adheres to the human body, special care must be taken because the plaster must not get wet. As a result, the washing was only allowed to be carried out incompletely will. Thorough washing was only possible with the conventional plaster-like method of fixing the catheter when changing dressings in connection with the catheter change and was unsatisfactory in that this change only took place every four weeks. After all, she had conventional plaster connection of the catheter has the disadvantage that a connection in the wound area is only external and thus hygienic imperfect was possible by applying a relatively large bandage, in order to achieve a certain degree of cleanliness on the outside to ensure. One cannot therefore expect a real dressing change in the sense of perfect wound care speak.
The invention is based on the object of avoiding all of the disadvantages mentioned above. Here the inventor went from the idea of not relying on the relatively flexible catheter when fixing the catheter inserted into the fistula Tissue in the skin area of the human body at the site of the fistula with regard to the holding function of the catheter restrict.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the catheter or the like introduced into a fistula of the body. by means of a belt placed in the area of the outer mouth of the fistula

tels ο.dgl. an der aus der Körperoberfläche herausragenden Stelle des Katheters gehalten wird.by means of the like. at the point protruding from the body surface of the catheter is held.
The invention has the advantage that when holding the catheter one does not have to act on the more or less resilient skin and tissue parts of the human body is dependent, but the relatively solid parts of a belt for the holding function can evaluate. Another advantage is that the belt, since it only rests on the skin and not with her connected by adhesives, skin damage is not caused or only caused less frequently and to a lesser extent.
In a further development of the inventive concept is the Retaining belt in the area of the catheter attachment point to form a tab, flange or the like, in particular widened .
According to the invention, the catheter is through an in the flap arranged catheter hole with at least two radially voiss hole edge outwardly extending incisions passed through.
According to the invention, there is a flat tab or the like. made of an elastic material such as soft plastic ; .
In a special development of the inventive concept for the purpose of wound closure between the skin surface on the one hand and the inner surface of the tab on the other hand a preferably flat intermediate layer or the like., In particular in frames a gauze compress.
According to the invention, the intermediate layer can be rectangular, square, elliptical, circular or the like. Have circumference and be provided from the edge with an incision, which is preferably is guided to the middle of the intermediate layer.

The patient is different from the conventional fixation method able to change a dressing even without medical or nursing assistance, especially also at home. He only needs to pull out the slotted intermediate layer upwards with a pair of tweezers after he previously tilted its upper half slightly, starting from the upper edge of the flap. By the frequent from the patient If the dressing can be changed himself, he is now also able to subject himself to thorough hygiene, in particular taking a full bath or showering. This is possible because the compress is undamaged in this act can get wet, because the patient can replace it with a new dry one after the bath.
The holes can, starting from the central catheter hole area, decrease in size, preferably evenly, with the distance from this hole. Through these holes in the flange the skin breathing is guaranteed in as many places as possible in the area of the flange, which is another reason for the reduction there is a risk of skin damage occurring.
The method of fastening the catheter according to the invention brings a circular strength through the flange and the elastic Belt, so that a displacement of the catheter is largely prevented; because one is not up here the relatively low strength of human tissue, especially the skin.

Die der Zentralöffnung 2 benachbarten Luftlöcher 8 sindThe catheter holder according to the embodiment of Fig.l to 4 consists of a diamond-shaped flap 1 made of soft plastic with a central opening 2 for passing through of the catheter 3. This opening is slightly smaller in diameter than the outer diameter of the catheter tube 3. Starting out from the edge of the central opening 2 four catheter hole slots 4 are provided, running radially, whereby four tabs 5 arise that are slightly bulged outward when inserting the catheter tube 3, so that under the elasticity of the Soft plastic material, the hole edge parts of these flaps are pressed resiliently against the circumference of the catheter tube 3. At the bottom the flap 5 is provided with a thread hole 6 for the passage of the fastening thread 7 of the catheter on the flap. In addition to the central opening 2 for the catheter, there are air holes 8 provided distributed over the diamond-shaped flange 1. The air holes 8 adjacent to the central opening 2 are

At the two ends 9 of the flap 1 there are belt transverse slits 10 through which the ends of the belt belt 11 can be pulled and fastened by means of a double button 12 each, which is inserted through buttonhole-like longitudinal slits 13 can be buttoned 9 which are provided distributed over the length of the belt made of elastic material, such as in particular rubber band.
The catheter belt also includes a gauze belt Compress 14, which in the exemplary embodiment is square in shape has, in which from the one outer edge 15 an incision 16 is provided to the middle 17, through which the catheter tube, as from 2 can be seen, up to the middle 17 can be inserted.
Vier Fadenlöcher 6 werden deshalb angebracht, damit, je nachdem wie gerade zufällig die stehengebliebenen Fadenenden zu liegen kommen, das eine oder andere Paar diametralWhen the belt is put on, the catheter tube 3 is first pushed into the fistula. Then, close to the skin, the Catheter tube 3 pushed the sterile compress IU by the Incision 16 opens until the center 17 or the end of the incision 16 has reached the catheter tube 3. This is a sterile closure of the wound in the area of the fistula mouth is created from the outside. A thread 7 now becomes circular several times wrapped around the catheter tube 3 above the compress and knotted. Then the flap 1 with its central opening 2 pushed over the catheter tube 3 up to the tangled thread. It will be the ones that have stopped from the knot Thread ends threaded through two diametrically opposite thread holes 6, wrapped around the outside of the catheter tube 3 and knotted several times. Four thread holes 6 are therefore made so that, depending on how randomly, the thread ends that have stopped come to rest, one or the other pair diametrically opposed

gegenüberliegender Fadenlöcher zum Hindurchfädeln benutzt werden kann.opposite thread holes are used for threading can.
The elastic belt 11 was already through one of the ribbon transverse slits by means of its one end before the flap 1 was put on 10 pulled through and buttoned by means of a double button 12 through two opposite longitudinal band slits 13. The elastic belt 11 is now looped around the body of the patient and through the other transverse belt slit 10 with the other end of the belt pulled through and after tightening tightly by means of the second double button 12 in the longitudinal slits of the belt buttoned. Here, the contact pressure of the tab depending on the choice of the longitudinal slits 13 that are used for buttoning, are set.
According to the embodiment of FIG. 5, a double-sided fisted patient uses two flaps 1, which are connected to one another by an intermediate belt part 18 in this way are that when putting on the belt, the tabs 1 with their central holes 2 each above the respective fistula opening come to rest so that the two catheters can be passed through the central openings 2. The tightening of the Belt happens via the double button 12 in the manner already described for FIGS.
