Abstract

The stones in plan are shaped like jigsaw pieces, and may have protuberances on two adjoining sides, and recesses on the other two adjoining sides. They lock firmly together when laid, and cannot be laterally displaced. In variation regarding the geometry of the interlinking protuberances and recesses, the contours involved can be either planar or curved, the latter simulating the shapes of a conventional jigsaw puzzle. The gap between adjoining stores may be filled with sand, and if necessary in order to facilitate the laying of the stores this gap may be widened to a certain extent.
