Vorliegende Construction ermöglicht sowohl die "Verstellung der ■ Rücklehne als des Fufstheiles
während des Sitzens auf dem Stuhle in der bequemsten Weise.The present construction enables both the ■ backrest and the foot section to be adjusted

Wie aus Fig. 1, der Gesammtansicht des Rollstuhles, ersichtlich, ist am unteren Ende der
Rücklehne α auf jeder Seite ein Zahnbogen b angenietet, der mit der Rücklehne am Sitzrahmen
c den gleichen Drehpunkt hat. Unter dem Sitze ist eine Schiene d auf beiden Seiten,
im Winkel abgebogen, an den Schienen des Sitzrahmens angenietet, wie aus Fig. 3, Ansicht
von unten, ersichtlich ist, und an bezw. unter dieser Schiene sind die beiden Hebel e drehbar
angebracht und in den Führungen/ gehalten. Die hinteren Enden dieser Hebel greifen, wie
die Zeichnung zeigt, in einander, und die vorderen, mit je einem Griff oder Knopf versehenen,
von den Spiralfedern g fest angezogen, in die Zahnbogen b ein. Zum Bewegen des Fufstheiles
ist an einer Seite des Sitzrahmens c ein Grifft
(Fig. 2 Ansicht desselben von ' der Seite) mittelst der beiden Lager i und in diesen drehbar
angebracht. Unter diesem Griff am Sitzrahmen befindet sich eine Rolle k und an einer Eisenstange
unter dem Sitz ein Ring /. Es wird nun eine Schnur m an der die beiden gezahnten
Arme η verbindenden Stange 0 einerseits und, nachdem sie durch den Ring / hindurch und

Diese Bewegungsarten der Rücklehne und des Fufstheiles sind besonders für kränkliche
Personen, die bisher zur Verstellung des Fufstheiles immer einer zweiten Person bedurften,
sehr vortheilhaft, indem einestheils zur Bewegung der Rücklehne nur einer der Hebel bezw. dessen
Griff etwas nach vorn gezogen zu werden braucht, um durch Austreten beider Hebel aus den Zahnbogen
die Bewegung der Rücklehne freizugeben, ■ und da bei der gegebenen Lage ein
Loslassen des' Griffes genügt, um durch Einschnappen der Hebel diese Lage festzuhalten,
anderentheils, indem man nur den Griff h zu drehen hat, um die Bewegung des Fufstheiles
freizugeben, die hier einfach durch leichtes Anstemmen der Füfse gegen den Schemel bewerkstelligt
werden kann, worauf durch Loslassen des Griffes und der Füfse die sofortige Arretirung der gegebenen Lage des Fufstheiles
