Description
- Verwendung der synthetiflchan kristallinen Calciumhydrosilikatphasen 0511 I und 0511 II als Füllstoff oder Pigment (Zusatz zu P 19 12 354.7-41) Gegenstand der Hauptpatentanmeldung P 19 12 354.7-41 ist ein synthetisches, kristallines, nahezu quarzfreies Calciumsilikat der chemischen Zusammensetzung CaSiO3, dem Röntgenspektrum von natürlichem Wollastonit und einer spezifischen BET-Oberfläche von 1 bis 30 in2/g sowie ein Verfahren zu seiner Herstellung.
- Das Verfahren zur Herstellung des synthetischen kristallinen Calciumsilikats besteht aus zwei Stufen.
- In der ersten Stufe werden hydrothermal aus einer wässrigen Suspension die Calciumhydrosilikate hergestellt und in einer zweiten Stufe durch Glühen in das synthetische kristalline Calciumsilikat überführt.
- Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft als weitere Ausbildung obiger Erfindung die Verwendung der synthetischen, kristallinen, nahezu quarzfreien Calciumhydrosilikatphasen CStI I und 0511 II als Füllstoff oder Pigment in Kunststoffen und Anstrichstoffen.
- Das Verfahren zur Herstellung der synthetischen kristallinen Calciumsilikathydrate besteht aus der hydrothermalen Umwandlung einer wässrigen Suspension von Calciumoxidhydrat und einer SiO2-Quelle im Molverhältnis von 5i02:CaO = o,7 bis 1,3 und einem Feststoffgehalt von o bis 50 Gew.- in nahezu quarzfreie Calciumhydrosilikate eines Molverhältnisses Si02:CaO 0,7 bis 1,3.
- In Abhängigkeit von dem Molverhältnis CaO:SiO2 der Ausgangsmischungen und den Bildungsbedingungen treten im System Ca (OH)2-SiO2-H20 11 verschiedene Calciumhydrosilikate (CSH-Phasen) auf. Die reinen Calciumsilikathydrat-phasen CSH I und CSlI II werden unter Verwendung von sogenannten Mineralisatoren, d. h. löslichen Alkali-und Erdalkalisalzen, insbesondere den Sulfaten, Silikaten, Chloriden und Fluoriden, wie z. B. Natriumchlorid, Calciumchlorid, Natriumfluorid, Ammoniumcarbonat, in einer Menge von 2 bis 1o Gew.-%, bezogen auf den Feststoffgehalt der hydrothermal zu behandelnden Ausgangsgemische, hergestellt. CSH I zum Beispiel entsteht, wenn 6,6 kg handelsübliches Weißkalkhydrat mit etwa 96 Gew.-% CaO berechnet auf die glühverlustfreie Substanz und 5,28 kg Quarzmehl einer BET-Oberfläche von etwa 4 m2/g mit einem Gehalt von 98 Gew.-% SiO2 sowie o,24 kg Natriumfluorid unter Zugabe von 17,86 kg Wasser in einer Keramikmühle etwa 1o Minuten gründlich gemischt werden, die Schlempe in Edelstahlformen gefüllt und in einem Autoklaven bei 17 at Sattdampf, entsprechend 2040C, in drei Stunden hydrothermal behandelt wird. tisch der Autoklavbehandlung wird die poröse, mürbe Masse, die aus der Phase CSH I besteht, bei 1500C getrocknet und auf die gewünschte Korngröße zerkleinert. Dieses Produkt hat eine spezifische Oberfläche nach BET von etwa 9o m2 Ig. Dieses Endprodukt besitzt einen sehr hohen Weißgehalt von etwa 92 % im Vergleich zum Standardweiß des Magnesiumoxyds und eignet sich vorzüglich als Füllstoff für Kunststoffe, beziehungsweise als Weißpigment für Farben und Anstriche.
- Im allgemeinen besitzen diese Calciumsilikathydrate spezifische Oberflächen von 1 bis 150, insbesondere 3 bis loo m2/g und Weißgehalte über 9o %.

- PatentanspruchVerwendung der synthetischen, kristallinen, nahezu quarzfreien Calciumhydrosilikatphasen CSH I und 0511 II mit einer spezifischen BET-Oberfläche von 1 bis 150 m2/g, insbesondere 3 bis loo m2/g als Füllstoff oder Pigment für Kunststoffe und Anstrichstoffe.
