Description
The invention relates to a processing method for hydrogen sulfide, ammonia and organic Compounds containing gases, in the case of the compressed raw gas coming from a pre-cooler the hydrogen sulfide is washed out with a solvent containing arsenic and removed in an oxydurator the sulfur in the solvent after the addition of a further catalyst by supplying oxidizing air elemental form is obtained.
This must be taken into account when removing hydrogen sulfide and ammonia from coke oven gas that these substances are usually no longer economically viable for sale can be processed. The strained earnings situation of the coal recycling plants requires an as much as possible simple treatment process, after the inexpensive ammonia and sulfur from the coke oven gas can be won.
According to the so-called Thylox process, this is Coming from the pre-cooler, compressed coke oven gas initially of ammonia and hydrocarbons freed. Subsequently, at temperatures above 45 ° C the gas free of ammonia and organic compounds in a scrubber is hydrogen sulfide withdrawn. This is done with the help of an aqueous solution that contains arsenic compounds.
In this process, the arsenic serves as a quasi-catalyst for converting the hydrogen sulfide into Thio-arsenic compounds. from which in a downstream oxidizer from the solvent by air-oxygen the sulfur is released and floated out in elemental form. The arsenic compounds are returned to their original shape and can therefore be circulated.
DuS procedure requires a relatively high level Reaction temperature, which is 45 ° C and above, and that the pH is kept at about 7.5. Although the process is relatively easy to use, however, the heat consumption in the individual process stages is considerable.
In one called the "Giammarco Vetrocoke" process known variant of the Thylox process (magazine "gwf" 104, issue 17, page 486, DT-AS 11 43 603, US-PS 29 43 910) a catalyst z. B. hydroquinone added. This process can take place at room temperature, but the conditions are more favorable with increasing temperatures, which correspond to those of the Thylox process.
According to the so-called Perox process, however, it is possible to remove the hydrogen sulfide from the ammonia and to remove raw gas containing organic compounds including benzene. That happens with an aqueous solution which contains thiosulfates in addition to free alkalis. In the Oxydeur, with the addition of Oxidation catalysts, e.g. B. Hydroquinone, the absorbed hydrogen sulfide oxydieit. This procedure too is relatively easy to use and has the advantage that the ammonia in the raw gas is used can be. However, since this process only works satisfactorily at temperatures below 25 ° C, a very complex raw gas cooling is usually required. In addition, the sensitivity turns out to be the process against short-term temperature fluctuations as a hindrance. The procedure requires also high circulating amounts of absorption solution.
Schließlich ist auch vorgeschlagen worden, das gekühlte und von Teer befreite Gas mit einer Ammoniumpolythionatlösung zu waschen, wobei sich Ammoniumthiosulfat und freier Schwefel bilden, und anschließend das Ammoniumpolythionat wieder in den Kreislauf zu leiten (vergleiche Handbuch der Gasindustrie, Band 3 [1939], Seite 2/66 bis 2/67).Finally, it has also been suggested that the chilled and to scrub the tar freed gas with an ammonium polythionate solution, whereby ammonium thiosulfate and form free sulfur, and then the ammonium polythionate back into the cycle to direct (see handbook of the gas industry, Volume 3 [1939], pages 2/66 to 2/67).
The invention is aimed at solving the problem of removing ammonia and hydrogen sulfide Problems arising from coke oven gas are based on the task of carrying out the necessary process steps as far as possible uncomplicated and economical to design.
This object is achieved in that the Oxydationsluftzufuhr after the oxidation level with a Control variable is controlled, which the potential difference of the reduced and the oxidized solvent
tels entspricht.tels corresponds.
The knowledge that the Oxydaiionspotential of the solvent, which is obtained by aerating the solvent in the presence of such Redox system, directly from the supplied> Air volume depends. This significantly simplifies the process compared to the previously known processes, because an adjustment to a certain pH value is not necessary and the temperature range of the system is largely uncritical Das Rohgas ι ο does not need to be stirred up or chilled. The raw gas temperatures can be around 10 to 45 ° C.
The air used for the oxidation in the Oxydeur is expedient in countercurrent to the gas cooler condensate trickling down and before entering the oxidizer with hydrogen sulfide and free ammonia loaded. In this way, the free ammonia and ammonia contained in the gas cooler condensate Amounts of hydrogen sulfide introduced into the process of the oxidizer.
In this way, the gas water produced can be used as an N H j absorbent. That has the advantage, that the NH3 output can be made more economical and the addition of washing water can be reduced.
The ammonia-free by releasing the ammonia and the hydrogen sulfide into the oxidizing air and desulphurised gas cooler condensate is fed into an ammonia scrubber to which the desulphurised raw gas is fed is used. This gas still contains around 50% of its original ammonia. The gas leaves the second washer ammonia-free.
A partial flow branched off from the solvent in the Oxydeur is combined to burn the ammonia fed with the washing liquid of the ammonia washer to a stripper. That drifted off there ne ammonia is condensed and enriched, whereupon the concentrate together with a liquid or gaseous fuel is atomized and burned with the addition of air. As long as the production of Benzene is unprofitable or cannot be sold economically, crude benzene is suitable for adding to the ammonia concentrate combustion.
To drive off the ammonia from the solvent and the washing liquid, in a known manner appropriately used as alkali lime; the addition of lime can be controlled with a reference variable that corresponds to the pH value measured in the converted solution.
Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren ist schematisch in den Zeichnungen wiedergegeben; es zeigenThe method according to the invention is shown schematically in the drawings; show it

The raw gas coming from the gas suction device, the ammonia, hydrogen sulfide and organic compounds, including benzene, is introduced into a washer 2 at 1. The raw gas leaves the scrubber 2 at 3 in the desulphurised state and with an ammonia content that is around 50% of the original Ammonia content is.
In the washer 2 is an arsenic compound from above containing solvent supplied at 4 from an Oxydeur 5. The solvent takes in the Wa- 6s shear 2 ammonia and hydrogen sulfide. The hydrogen sulfide contained in the raw gas is in Ammonium thiosulfate transferred, which is converted into ammonium polythionate with additional H2S.
The leaching of the H2S can at least as a result of the increased reactivity due to the arsenic compounds in the solution, ZZ to <200rm; H2S / Nm 3 are driven, and the NH3 content drops to ^ 2.5 NHi / Nm 3 . Therefore, the gas thus treated can be used immediately for industrial purposes.
In the case of the FIG. 1 shown embodiment, the air exits from a giant tower 8. This one air is supplied via line 9. Gas cooler condensate, which via a line 10 in the trickle tower 8 reaches, guided in countercurrent. This causes the oxidizing air to condensate with that in the gas cooler Load any free ammonia and hydrogen sulfide present.
The gas cooler condensate can, for. B. have hydrogen sulfide concentrations of 03-1.5 kg H2S / m 3 . Any sulfide ions present are removed in the trickle tower 8. The sulfide is converted into disulfide, which has no significant H2S partial pressure.
In the Oxydeur 5 is in the presence of a catalyst the hydrogen sulfide bound to the ammonium polythionate oxidizes to elemental sulfur.
The air bubbling up in the Oxydeur 5 leads to the formation of foam, and the foam becomes more elementary Sulfur subtracted at 11.
The supply of the oxidizing air is regulated with an actuator 12. The reference variable for the control of the actuator 12 is carried out by measuring the oxidation level. For this purpose, at 13 and at 14 the potential difference the oxidized and the reduced solvent, e.g. B. with the help of two platinum-calomel chains, measured. The measured value is amplified at 15 and sent to the controller 16.
The desulphurized gas present at 3, but still laden with part of the ammonia, is under Branch off of a partial stream 18 which is used for underfiring for the coke oven batteries can, fed to a second washer 19. This can have over 20 softened washing water and more z. B. in the second stage at 21 withdrawn at 22 from the trickle tower 8, and desulfurized by his get free ammonia freed gas cooler condensate. The ammonia-free raw gas is withdrawn at 24, while the washing liquid laden with ammonia is drawn off at 25 and fed to a substream 26 will. This partial flow comes from an arsenic removal device 27, which is always a partial flow 29 of the oxidized solvent is supplied, which is continuously removed from the process at 13.
From the two streams 25 and 26, there is a total of the ammonia removed from the raw gas, but hydrogen sulfide-free stream 30.
This liquid is fed to an aborter 32 at 31. The aborter receives over 33 and over steam 34 Lime (Ca (OH) 2). The stripped ammonia is withdrawn from the stripper 32 at 38 and condensed at 35. The condensate is enriched at 36 and drawn off at 37. This liquid is composed in nozzles with a fuel, e.g. B. crude benzene, atomized and burned with the addition of atmospheric oxygen.
The process in the aborter 32 is regulated by withdrawing a portion 40, which is cooled at 41 and fed to a pH sensitive electrode 42. The electrode current is amplified at 43 and a regulator 44 which actuates an actuator 45 which controls the amount of lime added at 34.

The solvent circulation required to wash out the H2S is very low and is e.g. Currently under 20 l / m 3 gas. With this process it is possible to remove up to 99.9% of the hydrogen sulfide from the raw gas and thus to meet the very stringent purity requirements.
The process described allows an economical removal of hydrogen sulfide and NHj from the raw gas. After the compression stage, the raw gas is processed without pretreatment, with one Final cooler to dissipate the heat of compression of the gas suction device is dispensed with. By using of the gas water treated as described, the NH3 scrubber is for the most part with its own Washing water operated; the addition of extraneous water can thus be reduced considerably. The draining wash water does not contain sulfide ions. The Nrü annihilation by incineration can therefore without interposition of deacidification stages and facilities for the generation of H2SO4.
Practical experience shows that Nrb enrichment 50-10Og NH3 reached in the H2S washing solution and the NKta content of the washing water ~ 10 g NH3 / I. The N H 3 solutions supplied to the aborter thus achieve Nhb concentrations of 20 g / l. This reduces the heat balance of the Nhb output significantly improved.
The heat requirement of the Thylox process described above is not required for the method according to the invention. The high amount of detergent in circulation of the Perox process is reduced by the new process, a cooling of the raw gas after the In contrast to the Perox process, compression is not necessary.

The proportion of ammonia or the proportion of gaseous alkaline compound in the unpurified gas can be used to maintain the basicity in the washing process.
Der H2S-Wascher 2 dient gleichzeitig als Kühler. The H2S washer 2 also serves as a cooler.
