Für Hundebesitzer im privaten Haushalt sind sie unpraktisch wegen des Platzbedarfs Für kleinere Hunde wird in der Patentanmeldung US 2020/0100882 A1 von Lee et al. eine Stehhilfe beschrieben, die aus einem Quaderblock mit 3 verschiedenen Seitenlängen besteht, sodass 3 verschiedene Haltehöhen möglich sind. Um die Höhe der Stehhilfe zu verstellen, fasst der Benutzer mit Daumen und Fingern zunächst die Flächen des Betätigungsgriffs 4.
