Dabei ist zur Anpassung an den jeweiligen Radfahrer eine Klemmschiene zur horizontalen Verschiebung des Sattels und eine drehbare Vorrichtung (z.B. Scharnier) zur Sitzwinkelverstellung erforderlich. Dabei wiegen die leichtesten Sättel aus Kohlefaser ca. 190gr. und die leichtesten Kohlefasersattelstützen ca. 200gr..
